Lord Krishna begins by saying that the body is the objective field of life (kshetram).
A wise person who knows about the body is called the knower of the objective field (kshetrajnam).
God is also called the conscious, knowing Soul (Kshetrajnaha) in all bodies (kshetras).
Having knowledge of both body and Soul comprises true knowl- edge, which is a form of awareness.
Knowledge of the body is a form of wisdom or awareness. One’s wisdom awareness can know the true nature of the body from within the body/mind system.
God too is the knower/awareness of Soul in all bodies since our Soul can awaken to its own existence and be aware of itself.
