It is no secret that Eli and I have a rocky relationship. At best we're friends and at worst we're bitter enemies. Anyone who's talked to us or have seen our conversations knows that.
But there's times people don't always see. Moments where a line that's crossed, whether if it's because Eli's umbrella of flirtiness falls over me or if I'm actually nice to him for a change. But they're there.
They may not mean much to someone who isn't us because these moments aren't like an earthquake. They're more like a shift in the tide. Maybe Eli didn't even notice them, maybe I'm off in my own little world. But I don't mind that, because I see the effects of these moments just the same. It reminds me that if people hadn't tried to force us together, maybe somehow things could've been different.
Sometimes it's good to just have a reminder.
