Chapter 37 - Netflix and Chill? Nah

Rindou looked at me and I slowly tried my best to hide my new flip phone in my hoodie's pocket. "I thought you came here to buy pads and tampons."

"I did."

"Then why are you back here in the electronics?"

"I got lost."

Rindou gave me a look of disbelief while shaking his head. "You really think I'm going to believe you got lost?" I nodded my head. "You are so annoying." Rindou looked around and noticed a man on his way over to me. He watched the man approach me.

"I couldn't help but notice your dancing earlier" the man commented as I looked at him. "You look like the type of girl I would like to chill with."

"Yeah, you mean fuck but okay" I thought as I put on a fake smile. "Really?"

"Yeah really." He got closer to me. "What's your snap?"

"Eh, it's" I started. Come to think of it, I haven't touched snapchat in months maybe even years. "How about I just give you my number instead." I wasn't going to give him my main phone number, that's what burner phones are for when it comes to situations like this.

"Bet." I gave the guy my new number and he automatically called it, making sure it was my actual number. I made no comment about that and heard my burner phone go off. "Aren't you going to pick up the phone?" the guy asked me.

(*Side note: This actually happened to me on my first day of college.)

I hesitated because I didn't want Rindou to know I just brought this phone. "Yeah..." I slowly reached into my hoodie's pocket.

Rindou couldn't help but roll his eyes and sigh. "Can we go now?"

The man who was trying to flirt with me turned around and looked at Rindou. "Is this guy with you?" He looked back at me.

"Yeah" I replied and the man looked at Rindou one more time.

"He isn't your boyfriend, is he?"

"No."

"Well then, forget about him, Shawty." The man tried to wrap his arm around my shoulders but Rindou stopped him. "What's your problem, man?" Rindou ignored him and grabbed my hand, forcing me to follow him. "Hey!"

"I see my knight in shinning armor decided to save me" I commented as we walked all the way to the alcoholic drink section of the store. "Or is it because that was a golden opportunity for me to finally get away from you guys?"

Rindou let my hand go. "What do you think?"

"I take the latter is right?" Rindou didn't answer me and just looked at what kind of alcohol they had for sell. "The way he acts reminds me of something" I thought as I looked at the wine selection and pulled out my flip phone in order to block that guy I just met. "But I can't quite tell what though" I continued to think.

About five minutes passed and Rindou and I eventually made our way back to the front of the store, grabbing the items I said I originally came to buy. We then went to the shelf checkout and I couldn't help but hear a group of girls comment about Rindou's appearance.

"Girl, look at him" one said.

"I know, he's so fine" the second one commented.

I looked at Rindou out of the corner of my eye and saw him just standing there with his arms crossed, looking bored. He showed no interest in the girls who were talking about him even though they made it very obvious they were talking about him.

"Why is someone that fine standing over there with that girl" the third one said. "Girl looked like she hasn't brushed that wig of hers in months." That last comment made the other ones laugh.
