"Juliaaaa!" Corey sang as Colby and I came into the room. "Hi, Corey." I said then gave him a hug.
"You guys are acting like she wasn't at your house like three days ago." Colby said as Corey shrugged.
"You guys left really fast." He said as I sat on the couch, pulling my legs to my chest.
"Yeah, you didn't even say goodbye brother." Jake said as Colby chuckled.
"We had to get out of there, not that it mattered because there was a tracking device in Julia's leg. How's that feeling by the way?" He asked and looked at me.
"Hold on, there was a tracker in your leg?" Sam asked as I nodded. "It feels fine." I said with a shrug.
My leg still hurt but it burned a lot less than it did when it had that piece of metal in it.
"Great. So we need to think of a plan." Colby said and clapped his hands.
"I was thinking that Sam and I go and try to get them before they get Julia." Colby said as my heart sank slightly.
"Isn't that dangerous? They want to kill you, after all." I said causing him to smirk.
"I'm not worried about them, sweetheart." He said causing Jake's brow to scrunch.
"I thought you guys weren't back together." He said as I shook my head. "We're not." I said as Colby stared at me with intensity.
I stared back, feeling like everyone else in the room was melting away.
His eyes were so intensely staring into my own that I could feel myself melting from his gaze.
I was snapped out of the haze by Sam clearing his throat.
"Anyways. I think it could be a good idea to find them but do you have any idea where they are or how many of them there are?" Sam asked as Colby ripped his eyes away from me.
"No idea. I had the guy posing to be Jules' boyfriend held hostage, but my idiot men weren't watching him enough." Colby said as Corey chuckled.
"You had a boyfriend?" He asked and nudged my arm. "Unfortunately." I grumbled and crossed my arms.
"Damn, you really know how to pick them." Jake teased. "Yeah." I said as Colby shook his head.
"Enough. It's not her fault that he pursued her. Even if she didn't want him, he would have gotten her." Colby said then started pacing.
"We need to be a step ahead and we aren't right now." He said and ran his hand through his hair.
"Do they know who we are?" Corey asked. "They may not." Sam said with a thoughtful tone.
"We send Jake and Corey out to find them, once they are found we strike." Colby said with a slow nod.
"Nice! We get to do the cool stuff for once." Jake said as Sam narrowed his eyes.
"I thought you wanted a break." He retorted. "Yeah, from the boring shit." He said as Colby looked at me.
"What do you think, Jules?" He asked as I shrugged. "Doesn't matter." I said quietly.
It looked like Colby wanted to say something but he didn't, instead he looked at Jake and Corey.
"Pack up and get ready to go." He said to them, then looked at me. "Stay here, I need to talk to you." He said as Jake and Corey left to go get their stuff.
"Don't have too much fun." Sam said with a laugh as he left the room.
"Yes?" I asked as he sighed and leaned on the wall.
