Vance was coming home from work and thinking about how he could of ever been friends with those losers from Virginia.
He was always uncomfortable being around them.
What really helped with seeing how bad they were was during his freshman year of college when one of those guys said something hateful about Mexicans and gay people in at the same time.
They didn't care if Vance's someone who's half Mexican himself got upset about them being hateful towards Mexicans.
He was mainly friends with those guys because their parents were friends with his dad.
He never chose to be friends with them, he only stayed friends with them because he thought he didn't deserve good friends in his life.
His friends liked to pretend they were poor rednecks but no they had money, they were just rich white trash- his family was the middle class one compared to these guys.
