Several people looked at each other, and then Huang Tianfang shouted loudly, "Where's Zhang Yi? We're here to negotiate with him!"

Uncle You, holding a pry bar, walked towards them. The scene in front of him made him recall his military career.

He felt as if he had become twenty years younger, and the blood in his body was boiling. Fearlessly, Uncle You looked at the building managers and said, "Our boss is waiting for you upstairs. What's the matter? Aren't all 29 building managers coming together?"

Li Jian pushed his glasses and maintained a humble smile. "We discussed it yesterday. It wasn't appropriate for all of us to come together, so we chose five representatives."

They also had concerns, fearing that Zhang Yi might take the opportunity to deal with all of them at once. So, after much discussion, they finally decided to select the five most powerful individuals to represent them in negotiations with Zhang Yi.

Uncle You, following Zhang Yi's instructions, frowned slightly and said, "Then, please come in! However, only the five of you can come today, and others are not allowed. Also, for safety reasons, it would be best if you all put away any weapons. It won't look good during the inspection."

Uncle You's words changed the expressions of the people in front of him. Chen Yuling angrily retorted, "Search us? What does Zhang Yi mean by this? Is this his attitude?"

Wang Qiang laughed loudly, revealing a fierce look, and pulled out a machete, cursing Uncle You, "That fool Zhang Yi, it's already this late, and he still dares to set conditions! Are you not afraid of death?"

Huang Tianfang sneered, "Is Zhang Yi blind? Can't he see the situation? Just a few dozen of you, we could drown you in our spit one by one!"

Uncle You didn't waste words and took out his phone from his pocket. He had been maintaining communication with Zhang Yi to keep him informed about the situation below.

Upon hearing the arrogant tones of these people, Zhang Yi also smiled. "I know what's going on; wait a moment."

He couldn't let them be so arrogant without consequences. Zhang Yi needed to show them that quantity didn't guarantee success.

Zhang Yi walked to the window and pushed it open. A chilling wind swept through. Glancing down, he took out a hand grenade from his spatial storage. Following the techniques he learned online, he quickly pulled the grenade's pin and threw it towards the crowd below.

The people behind were all watching the spectacle. Although many of them had come, most were dragged by the building managers just to increase the numbers. They thought they were here to watch a show. The prospect of having people provide them with free food and clothing in the future made them cheerful, chatting happily and envisioning a bright future.

Suddenly, a sound of breaking air echoed. Everyone subconsciously looked up to see something falling.

"What's that?"

Some thought it was a thrown stone and paid little attention since it was far from them.

But before they could react, the grenade landed on the ground.

"Boom!"

A fiery explosion erupted, and seven or eight people near the impact point were blown away. Along with the snowflakes, there was also splattered red blood and shattered limbs.

"Ah!"

The deafening explosion triggered a panic-inducing scream. With just one grenade, seven or eight people were killed on the spot, and the central two were shredded by shrapnel. The shockwave and fragments also affected about a dozen more people, causing them to bleed profusely.

In this environment, these wounded individuals were as good as dead.

The sudden explosion shocked everyone. After all, ordinary people rarely encountered hand grenades in their lifetimes, even in the apocalypse. They never expected to be attacked by a hand grenade!

Chaos ensued. Even though many people had come, they were mostly a motley crew, more for show than anything else. The crowd fell into chaos, screaming and running for their lives.

Building managers, who were supposed to have some level of control, were also scared. "Don't panic, don't panic!"

But they were not an army; where was there any discipline? Even their own brothers and trusted individuals were scared out of their wits, huddling on the ground or finding a place to cower.

At this moment, Uncle You's phone transmitted a voice full of sarcasm. "Impressive with a large crowd, huh?"

Wang Qiang and the others widened their eyes, their expressions full of astonishment. This hand grenade... was thrown by Zhang Yi!

Where did he get the hand grenade? Why does he have a hand grenade?

Even Uncle You and the others behind him, including Li Chengbin, were dumbfounded. It wasn't until they heard Zhang Yi's voice that they understood what had happened, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

In shock, Uncle You cleared his throat and said to Wang Qiang and the others, "Do you still have any objections now?"

Wang Qiang and the others were too scared to speak. They looked at each other, realizing how unpredictable Zhang Yi was. Having guns was already surprising, and now he even had a hand grenade!

They were still holding sticks and machetes; how were they supposed to fight against him?

When they arrived, they were a group of people with a mighty presence, but now their faces looked extremely ugly.

Wang Qiang's face turned dark, and he said, "We came here for negotiations. There's no need for this!"

Zhang Yi's contemptuous voice came from the phone.

"Does negotiating require bringing over a thousand people? I find them annoying, so I helped you guys drive them away."

On the 13th floor, Zhang Yi glanced at his watch.

"Oh, it's almost 2:30. You have five minutes. If I don't see you in five minutes, there won't be any negotiations."

"Let's go!"

Go?

What the hell is this? Clearly, it's an overpowering strike!

Wang Qiang and the others were sweating profusely. This felt like a dimensional reduction blow!

In an anxious tone, Wang Qiang said, "We came here sincerely for cooperation. Wait a moment; we'll be there right away!"

Li Jian was anxious. He quickly walked to Uncle You and said, "Can you tell us which floor he's on?"

Uncle You sneered slightly, looking somewhat triumphant.

"The 13th floor!"

The thirteenth floor meant they had to climb nine floors.

With their stamina, they might have to catch their breath by the time they reached the top.

Without further ado, they didn't dare to delay. They quickly left their weapons behind and rushed upstairs, competing to be the first to reach the top.
