*Requests : I wrote this myself since I haven't been getting very many requests. If you have ideas or suggestions, I would love if you commented your requests!! Thank you, hope you all enjoy this shorter one-shot of grumpy tired Max. Also, no offense to the people out there named Brittany.

Max had woken up way too early for her liking this morning. She'd been groggy nearly all day, with snippy responses and a lack of interest in anything other than sitting around. But Lucas had been out all day with his friends, returning home later than usual. He was so eager, his cold toes tickling her calves when he slid his feet underneath the sheets.

"Max," he hissed in a whisper. "Max, you have to hear this." Her eyes were still closed when she grumbled her response, "Can you go to bed already? It's late." Lucas quickly glanced at the clock and scoffed. "Late? Max, you do realize it's not even midnight. Plus, I have a lot to tell you."

His tall body wiggled closer to her smaller frame, smooshing his plump lips against her cheekbone and kissing it. "Please wake up." With still no movement from his girlfriend, Lucas groaned. "Max, please," He kissed her again, nose knocking at her brow bone.

Max turned, her eyes wrinkled with a smile she was clearly trying to hide. "Alright, I'm awake. I'm awake. Just tell me what happened, okay? I don't have all day." "You know Dustin's girl... Or I guess the girl he was trying to get with, Brittany?" Lucas whispered once more, curling in so that Max's body pressed against his.

Max pursed her lips, "No." "You know... The one that made that chastity promise to herself when she had a pregnancy scare and an STD scare in the same week?" Max nodded in amusement, so Lucas went on.  "You'll never guess who she slept with, three times in the past week!" Max sighed, sinking further into the blankets.

"You and all your gossip, Lucas. Can't you save it for any other day?" "But this one's a game-changer!" Lucas protested, nudging her gently. Max shifted, "Why can't we just sleep like normal people? It's been a long day." "Just hear me out," Lucas insisted a hint of excitement in his voice. Max yawned, "Make it quick."

Lucas grinned, relishing the opportunity. "Okay, so Brittany—" "Wait, hold on," Max interrupted, lifting a hand. "Dustin's girl is named Brittany? He should stay away," "Max, that's not the point of this! Come on, it's the best part!" Lucas pleaded, unable to contain his enthusiasm. "Lucas, I just want to sleep," Max whined, stifling a yawn.

"Why do you even care so much? So what, Dustin will eventually find someone else whose name stirs far from Brittany." Max groaned, rubbing at her tired eyes. "Just sleep, okay?" Lucas rolled his eyes, "Max, just listen. Stop talking!"Max nestled in closer, finding a comfortable spot on her pillow. "Continue the story."

"Okay, so Brittany had this wild idea—" "Wait, wait," Max interrupted once again, stifling a laugh. "This is about Brittany and her wild ideas? Lucas, seriously?" "Yes, but it's not what you think!" Lucas chuckled softly, trying to regain his focus. "I'm drifting off here" Lucas ignored his girlfriend's complaints, moving on.

"Well, she decided it would be a good idea to sleep with her physics professor," Lucas whispered dramatically. Max gasped, muffling a laugh with her hand. "No way! Poor Dustin." "I know, right?" Lucas chuckled softly. "It's the worst thing I've heard in a long time."

"Are you joking?" Max couldn't help but grin, the story unfolding before her sounding too funny to be true. "Dead serious," Lucas confirmed, looking equally amused. Max shook her head in disbelief. "I would've never guessed that."
