Lucas had been planning this surprise for weeks. He knew how much Max adored Kate Bush, her eyes lighting up whenever her music filled the room. I mean, Kate had practically saved her life back at the Creel house.

However, now with the upcoming Kate Bush concert, he saw an opportunity to make her ecstatic after the events of the previous year. Lucas tucked the tickets into a beautiful envelope, a small note accompanying them that read, "You deserve this."

Finally, on the special evening of Max's birthday, Lucas had a mischievous glint in his eye, barely containing his excitement for his girlfriend. "Close your eyes," he urged, leading Max blindfolded to his car.

As they drove through the city, Max was still blindfolded, the surprise right under her nose as the radio softly played Kate Bush's melodies. When they arrived at the venue, Lucas gently removed the blindfold, revealing the brightly lit concert hall buzzing with his same energy.

Max's eyes widened in surprise and joy as she read the sign: "Kate Bush! Live Tonight?! Lucas! You didn't..." Her voice trailed off, a mixture of disbelief and happiness bubbling within her. He grinned, taking her hand in his. "Oh, believe me, I did!"

Lucas felt a surge of joy seeing Max's eyes shimmering with excitement, her infectious happiness warming his heart. "Happy early birthday, babe." As they joined the line for entry, her excitement seemed to ripple through the air, catching the attention of nearby concertgoers. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!"

Max's delight was infectious, filling Lucas with a sense of accomplishment. Lucas couldn't help but smile as he watched her, the anticipation etched in her every movement. He squeezed her hand gently. "You deserve it all, baby." As they got closer to the entrance, the buzz of the crowd grew louder.

Max's eyes shimmered with unfiltered joy, a sparkle Lucas knew he'd never forget. When they finally stepped into the concert hall, the vibrant ambiance and the murmurs of anticipation heightened the sense of occasion. Max glanced around, her eyes sparkling as she took in the atmosphere.

"I've never been to a concert before," Lucas marveled at her, at how a simple surprise had brought such immense happiness. He leaned in, speaking over the excited chatter around them. "Soak it all in, Max. This is all for you."

With the thrill of anticipation palpable in the air, they headed towards their seats, hand in hand, ready to immerse themselves in the magic of the concert. The lights began to dim and the crowd's cheers escalated as Kate Bush took the stage.

The room was awash with vivid colors, and the first notes of her iconic song filled the room. Max's eyes widened in sheer amazement, her whole being captivated by the enchanting performance. "Lucas!!! She's singing Wuthering Heights!"

Lucas watched her, delighted to witness the sheer joy he'd never seen radiating from Max like this. He couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment, seeing her lost in the music she loved so much. As the music filled the venue, Max was fully engrossed, mouthing the lyrics, swaying in his arms to the rhythm, her emotions mirroring the passion of the performance.

Lucas simply soaked in the sight of her, reveling in the fact that he'd been the one to set this all up. Between songs, Max turned to Lucas, her face radiant. "Thank you so much for this!" Her gratitude warmed his heart. "I'm just happy to see you enjoying it," Lucas replied, feeling grateful for this moment shared with the girl he cared about so deeply.

As the concert reached its crescendo, Kate Bush's magnetic presence filled the venue, and Lucas found himself completely captivated. He glanced at Max, whose eyes glistened with tears of joy, overwhelmed by the magic of the night.

After the final encore, as they exited the venue, Max turned to Lucas, her expression brimming with happiness as she held onto his arm. "That was... amazing. Thank you again, Lucas. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday." Lucas smiled, feeling a sense of fulfillment in making her evening so special.

"Anything for you." The night ended with them sharing snippets of the concert, exchanging favorite moments, and laughing over their shared joy. It was a night they'd cherish, a night that would linger as a beautiful memory for both of them.
