Zheng Yue didn't expect to hear Yang Xin and Leng Yan's discussion about her in the washroom. When she heard them say that she had wasted Murong Qiao's kindness, she immediately felt a lump in her throat, making it difficult for her to swallow.

Hearing Yang Xin and Leng Yan's voices outside, Zheng Yue really wanted to open the door on the spot and throw this tip in their faces, telling them firmly that she didn't want their rotten kindness.

However, her rationality brought Zheng Yue back to reality. Looking at the money in her hand that she really needed, Zheng Yue finally bit her lip silently and did not say anything.

She stayed in the washroom and didn't make a sound. She only pushed open the door and walked out after Yang Xin and Leng Yan left.

Although she really wanted to do that, reality did not allow her to vent her anger.

At night, when everyone returned to the dormitory, they were chatting happily about today's interesting events when the door was suddenly pushed open. Everyone looked at Zheng Yue standing at the door and couldn't help but stop talking.

The entire dormitory became abnormally quiet. The three of them looked at Zheng Yue, who was standing at the door, at the same time. For a moment, no one said anything.

Zheng Yue felt the gazes of the three of them on her, but didn't say anything. She only pursed her lips tightly and walked to her bed silently. She shrank in and pulled the bed curtain tightly.

She seemed to be out of place in this dormitory as she hid in her own small world.

At the thought that she had bumped into her roommates repeatedly when she was working today, Zheng Yue finally felt safe after pulling the bed curtain until there was no light coming in. Then, she deceived herself and put on her earphones, not wanting to hear them discussing her.

Seeing Zheng Yue return, Yang Xin and Leng Yan didn't say anything else and went to do their own things. Murong Qiao saw Zheng Yue's series of reactions from pushing the door open to the bed.

Seeing Zheng Yue shrink into her bed without saying a word, Yang Xin curled her lips and didn't say anything about today.

As night fell, the few of them returned to their beds and prepared to sleep, but Zheng Yue's bed curtain was still glowing.

Zheng Yue was studying.

After a day of work, Zheng Yue finally welcomed her real study time. However, when she thought of her embarrassing experience today, she felt terrible.

As she wrote down the notes she had yet to finish today, her hot tears dripped onto the book again and couldn't be stopped.

Zheng Yue curled up in her bed, studying and observing the commotion outside. It was only when she felt that everyone had gone to bed that she slowly lifted the curtains and crawled out, preparing to wash up and sleep.

However, the lights in the dormitory were off, and it was dark so she could not see anything clearly. Zheng Yue searched for a long time but couldn't find what she wanted. While she was anxious, the grievance seemed to have worsened, and her tears welled up again.

In the darkness, there was a soft click.

Faint lights appeared overhead.

Zheng Yue slowly looked up and saw a warm yellow lamp sandwiched by the bed. It shed some light and helped her illuminate a space. It was Murong Qiao, who was also not asleep, sitting on the bed and looking at her.

The light seemed to burn Zheng Yue's heart with warmth, making her feel a little warm. However, when she realized that she had been seen in such a sorry state, she couldn't help but feel embarrassed and cower.
