Nan Kang reached out and patted Zheng Yue's back. His strength was so gentle that it made her subconsciously relax.

Zheng Yue cried aggrievedly. Now that Nan Kang was beside her, she couldn't hold back her emotions.

"There's a high chance that life won't go your way," Nan Kang said.

Seeing the stain on Zheng Yue's dress, Nan Kang sent a message to his secretary to get someone to bring another set of clothes over, while he hugged Zheng Yue and coaxed her.

Zheng Yue cried for a while and became much more aware of her surroundings.

At this moment, she was extremely close to Nan Kang. She could smell the familiar smell of tobacco on the other party's body, as well as a hint of cologne.

Only then did Zheng Yue realize that she and Nan Kang were being overly intimate. However, she didn't know how to deal with this situation now, so she continued crying. In the depths of her heart, the barrier between her and Nan Kang was slowly disappearing.

This was the kind of consolation that she had never received before and Zheng Yue seemed to sense a form of desire growing in her heart.

"Sorry," Zheng Yue said softly.

She slowly separated from him, her cheeks as red as apples.

The situation was not as bad as she had imagined. Zheng Yue just had to put on her new clothes and did not lose her job.

The only difference was that her relationship with Nan Kang seemed to have taken a step closer.

It was the weekend. This was the day Murong Qiao would make some time to go to the company every week.

As usual, she planned to return to school after dealing with the company's matters. However, when she arrived downstairs, she realized that snow was falling from the sky.

Murong Qiao reached out and caught the white spot in her vision. She clearly saw the small snowflakes melt in her palm, accompanied by a hint of coldness.

"Time really flies." Murong Qiao couldn't help but sigh.

After entering university, she was always busy. She didn't expect it to be winter in the blink of an eye.

She didn't bring an umbrella today, nor did she bring any winter jacket. She only wore a sweater to ward off the cold, but this was obviously not enough.

Even after standing at the door for a while, Murong Qiao's nose turned much redder. Her hands and feet gradually lost the warmth they gained in the room and became cold.

She sniffed and looked at the cars coming and going on the street. She took out her phone and wanted to book a cab, but she realized that they were fully booked. It would take at least 30 minutes to get a car.

Helpless, Murong Qiao walked towards the nearest bus stop.

"Beep—" A horn sounded not far away.

Murong Qiao subconsciously looked up and saw a familiar person sitting in the car, honking to attract her attention.

"Huo Yichen?" Murong Qiao called out in shock.

Seeing Murong Qiao look up, Huo Yichen got out of the car and walked towards her.

"Why didn't you call me if it's snowing?" Huo Yichen's smiling voice reached her ears.

Along with the voice came a scarf with his body temperature. It was then wrapped around Murong Qiao's neck, blocking out the cold outside.

Just like that, it was suddenly not cold anymore. Murong Qiao touched the scarf that suddenly appeared and her heart softened.

When did Huo Yichen arrive?
