Chapter 160: Goodnight, Little Princess

Xian Yu's heart was itching as he read. He had called his Little Sister to resolve his doubts, but when he heard Murong Qiao's sleepy voice, he realized that the time he called was not right.

"What are you doing now?" he asked quickly, guiltily, pushing the questions aside in his mind.

"I just finished writing my drafts," Murong Qiao said honestly.

Xian Yu looked at the time. It was already 11 p.m.

At home, Murong Qiao usually fell asleep at ten. Xian Yu was a little annoyed at himself for calling at this time, but he didn't forget to urge Murong Qiao to sleep.

"Then quickly go to sleep." Xian Yu didn't mention the novel again.

He decided to put those questions aside as his Little Sister's sleep was more important. At the thought that she wouldn't be able to sleep well because of him, Xian Yu instantly felt guilty.

"I want to sleep. The male lead..." Murong Qiao said in a daze. She was so sleepy that she couldn't speak a complete sentence.

She only felt her eyelids become heavy, and only a little of her remaining consciousness was still trying to respond to Xian Yu's question. However, her mouth and mind were completely different, and words that she couldn't even understand jumped out of her mouth in bits and pieces.

After a while, Xian Yu heard steady breathing coming from the other end of the cell phone.

Xian Yu carefully muted his speaker so as not to wake her up and whispered.

"Good night, little princess." His voice couldn't have been softer.

He only listened to his Little Sister's breathing quietly and felt especially at ease. He even fell asleep.

The phone screen lit up for the entire night until it ran out of battery.

When she woke up, it was morning. Seeing that there was no class today, Murong Qiao remembered her Fifth Brother's call last night and decided to visit him.

The filming location was still the same, but the female lead had changed.

"You took the time to visit your brother?" When the guard saw that it was Murong Qiao, he opened the door and let her in. "Xian Yu should be filming now."

Ever since the incident between Murong Qiao and Qu Pingwan last time, everyone in the production team remembered Murong Qiao's face, so when they saw her coming, they let her in.

"Thank you." When Murong Qiao came, she heard that the production team had strictly prohibited outsiders from entering. So when she saw how the guard let her in directly, she smiled and thanked him before walking in.

The guard who opened the door was stunned for a moment before he quickly waved his hand in embarrassment and said that it was nothing.

When Murong Qiao walked in, Xian Yu was filming.

He and the female lead were lying on the ground with damaged makeup and saying sad lines. Murong Qiao stood in the crowd and watched his Big Brother's acting skills. It only took one shot to conclude the scene.

"Why are you here?" Xian Yu's eyes lit up when he saw Murong Qiao, making Murong Qiao feel like a big dog was wagging its tail before her.

Murong Qiao glanced at the set. The girl who was playing the female lead was still standing there and communicating with the staff.

"I'm here to see how you're doing." Her gaze landed on the girl with some interest.

Xian Yu followed his Little Sister's gaze and noticed that Murong Qiao was looking at the female lead. When he looked over, he met the girl's gaze.
