Sadly, today's MM box is plot related...and I had just found the most perfect picture...*sigh* next chapter then.
Anyway, enjoy!

“C-Caius…” You mumbled, seeing a face that you couldn’t recognize but somehow knew. It was really him; it was your big brother. But something seemed very different and wrong about him.

“Ah, ≈≈≈≈≈≈…how good to see you again.” His voice was so deep and the smirk on his face seemed so unnatural to you. You used to know what all of his looks meant. His big goofy grin meant he was up to something, his furrowed brow meant he had done something bad and your mom was going to find out about it, you even knew his ‘≈≈≈≈≈, shut up before I drop-kick you’ look…but this? He seemed almost devious.

“Amazing what a few years can do. You’re very beautiful, ≈≈≈≈≈≈. You grew up well.”

“A few years? It’s been over a decade. Where were you? How could you leave me? Why did you disappear? You could have told me you were aliv—” You almost broke down into tears.

“≈≈≈≈≈≈≈, please. You know I wouldn’t have left you by choice.”

There was something strange and insincere in his tone. Maybe he was just a different person now, and you didn’t know when he was lying or being honest like you used to.

“Where have you been?”

“I found salvation.”

You blinked, “I don’t understand.”

“You wouldn’t. You’re still just a child—”

“I am NOT a child. I lost that the day you left. Mom couldn’t take care of herself, let alone me. There was no one there for me, so I had to do it myself. You left me behind. You left me to deal with everything on my own.” You bawled up your fists and nearly shook with anger and resentment, “Where the hell were you?”

“I had to find my own way. There was nothing for me there. I needed answers, and a way out, and a way to change things. I found my way.”

“There was nothing for you there? was there!” You began to tear up despite your anger. Or maybe because of it. You couldn’t even tell the difference between your own emotions anymore.

“You’re still here, aren’t you?” He asked, almost backhandedly.

“Yeah, no thanks to you.” You shot back, finding your courage again. He wasn’t the same boy you knew. He was a different person, and you weren’t sure you liked who he had become. Noctis and Prompto said that he had changed, but never went into detail about it. You were beginning to see what they meant.

“You sound angry. Don’t worry, muffin, everything will be better soon. I’m going to change everything. All this pain and suffering will be lost in the winds of time as I deliver you into the world that was supposed to be.”

You took a cautious step back, not liking where this conversation was heading.

“I have found the seeress, the keeper of all time, Paddra Nsu-Yuel. The seeress can see the stream of time, everything that ever happened, or ever will happen. All the possibilities, and all the realities that could ever become flow through the seeress’ eyes. Yuel has shown me what the world could be, and I am determined to make it so.”

“So that’s it then? You’re going to change the world? That’s your plan?” You asked, furious. He was talking like a mad man.

“That’s your problem, ≈≈≈≈≈≈, you have no faith. The worlds will be overrun with sickness, and slip into chaos. There will be nothing anyone can do to stop it, and it will mean the end of all things. I have been given the opportunity to change this, and I will do whatever it takes to see this through.” He said, pulling a large, jagged weapon off his back. It was nearly as tall as he was, and looked like it was sharp enough to tear anything to shreds.
