Your Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts/Others Experience (Part 54)

After a few more minutes of walking, everyone was getting a little restless. Zack and Gippal were whispering at the back of the group, you and Ven were all but running around in circles as you argued, joked, and sang, and Ichigo was walking in front of you both, his hands in his pockets and his head lowered in annoyance, his face getting red as the two of you got louder and more annoying.

“Will you two shut up?” He finally cracked, looking back and sighing at the sight of you. Ven had you in a choke hold and you were biting at his free hand. You both stopped struggling at the sound of his voice and turned to look at him. “You’re driving me crazy.” He finished.

“Story of my life.” Gippal sighed walking up with Zack.
“Hey.” You protested, and Zack grinned, pulling you away form Ven and putting you in a chokehold of his own.

“We mean that in a very caring way.” He ruffled your hair and you laughed, thinking back to when the Captain would insult Delbert and say something like that at the end to keep him from firing her. Zack smirked and you elbowed him, running ahead to Ichigo, and jumping up on his back. You expected him to drop you or push you off, but he wasn’t even paying attention. He was busy staring at a townhouse at the end of the block. You almost fell of his back at the sight of it, but he had put his arms under your legs at just the right time.

“Come on, try not to think about it.” He said, patting one of your arm that was hooked around his neck. You nodded, unable to find your voice, and closed your eyes as you passed by your old house.

“Something wrong?” Ven asked, looking from you to the house.

“No. Everything is fine.” Ichigo said calmly and Zack and Gippal both elbowed Ven at the same time.

“Don’t mind him!” Gippal smiled as Zack covered Ven’s mouth. You guessed the two of them had figured it out.

“It’s okay guys. Really, it’s fine.” You said, sliding off Ichigo’s back.

“I guess your friend doesn’t know, does he?” Ichigo asked, and you shook your head.

“Know what?” Ven asked. Zack elbowed him again, and shoved him behind Gippal.

“Some other time.” Ichigo said, pushing you along the street, trying to get you away from your house.

“Whatever you say.” Ven shrugged, sticking his hands behind his head, only to be smacked by Zack once again.

After a few more minutes of walking, you came to a little stretch of parks dividing subdivision of houses, Ichigo let the others know that you were almost there.

You and he began walking on the grass through the grass while the other three kept to the path.
“What are you guys doing?” You asked, noticing them not following your example.
“Shouldn’t we walk on the path?” Gippal asked, seeing the signs that read ‘keep off the grass’ everywhere.

“Why? It’s so much faster to just go through it.” Ichigo said, sounding a tad annoyed.

“The signs?” Zack asked looking around.

“There’s this old guy that owns this place. He takes good care of it, combs it over at least three times a week.Those signs are just there to scare kids.” You explained, doing a cartwheel.

“Actually he died a few months ago.” Ichigo said rather casually.

“What? Really?” You tripped as you got back to your feet.

“Oh nice. That was grim.” Ven mused, stepping onto the grass and straying form the path.

“Who takes care of this place then?” You asked, upset about the man’s passing.
