“Wait! Don’t cast off yet!” someone called from within the ship.

“Who the hell?” Gippal began shooting out of his seat. Everyone was staring towards the back room where the voice came from. There was no door to the rom, just a wall that wrapped around with a slight opening.

“Who could that even be?” Zack wondered, not sure how someone could even get onto the ship.

“You expecting anyone?” You asked Ven, thinking he would be the only one brash enough to invite someone else onto the ship.

“No, I’m as lost as you.” He said, shaking his head.

“Hold on! Please, don’t leave yet!” Caith Sith cried, coming out of the room.

Zack and Gippal began whispering to each other at his appearance, and it ended with them both nudging each other to shut up.

“What can we do for you Caith?” You asked, just as confused as everyone else, but not as pig headed.

“Mr. Lamont, your mother has requested to see you before you leave.” He said.

“Lamont?” You repeated, having never heard the name before. You knew Zack’s name, and Gippal’s was something crazy and Al Bhed that started with a D, Sora and Roxas were Rostar’s, so you could only assume that was Ven’s last name too. That meant it could have been either Lavi or Allen.

“I’ll send her a post card later…” Lavi sighed, holding a hand over his eyes in frustration.

“Go and see mommy Lav-sauce.” Zack chuckled, using Reno’s nickname for him.

“Will you please return to your estate and go speak with her?” Caith asked him.

“Oh, alright.” He finally said. Ven, Zack, and Gippal all made to leave the ship with him, but when you got up, Zack pushed you back into the chair.

“Someone has to stay with Ally.” He said looking at Allen, who was slumped in a chair.

“Bu—” you were about to start complaining when Gippal threw you the keys to the ship.

“Don’t lose ‘em.”

“And don’t let anyone else touch them.” Zack added, and with that, they all left, even Caith, now that his message had been delivered.

Now that you were all alone, you turned your attention to Allen. He was sprawled out on a chair next to you, his head back and snoring at the ceiling. Your curiosity got the better of you, and you walked around behind him to examine the marking on his face. Since he was sleeping, you could even see where his eyelid was marked. Your gaze dropped from his face to his arm. The deep red color made you want to touch it, but you decided that if he woke up to you petting his arm, it might look a little strange. So, you decided to move him from the chair to the back room, where he could lay down in one of the beds. You grinned at how clever you were, as you got to touch his arm when you put it over your shoulder to lift him out of the chair. You were pretty close in height, so it wasn’t like you were trying to lug Zack from one room to another. Your fingers curled around the rough skin as you drug him to the back. It didn’t feel like skin, it was too rough. But you could see the bumps from where his veins were, and the muscles in his forearm were completely human looking. The only thing strange about it was the texture and the color. Other than that, it was completely normal.

As you got to the back room, you noticed sadly that there were only 4 beds…and 6 of you. You stuck Allen in the bed you had claimed as yours the last time you were on the ship. It was the second to last bed on the right, and, as you had previously determined from vigorous testing, the most comfortable.
