This shoudl be the last of the boring plot related chapters. For now, at least. But, hey, least now you know why I made the story cover a picture of Jenova! She started the whole mess...anyway, on we go

You were looking down at Riku, watching Ven’s hands jolt and shake as he tried to heal him. Lulu had just dropped some mental bombs on you, and you were more dazed and confused than anything else. You were trying to calm yourself down by looking into the faint green lighting given off by Ven’s hands. You sat silently for a while, just watching the light play off Riku and Ven’s faces. Ven’s hands were mostly hovering over Riku’s arm, but he would occasionally move one up to his forehead, probably to keep him asleep.

He hadn’t for a while, and Riku’s eyes began to open. He exhaled heavily and began to lift his hand up, aiming to put it on his throbbing forehead. Ven got to him before he could reach his head, and he poked Riku in the temple, knocking him clean out. You felt bad for Riku, you always hated it when Ven did that to you.

It seemed like no one was going to say anything, so you finally did. “Lulu, why won’t you just give him full power back?”

Ven stopped moving, waiting for an answer now too.

“Well, ≈≈≈≈≈…I just…”

“Yeah, why don’t you tell us?” Ven turned away from Riku and shot her a look.

Lulu’s face hardened at his comment, and she put a hand on your shoulder, “≈≈≈≈≈, why don’t you go check on Sora?” It was very apparent that she wanted you to leave the room, so you decided to go ahead and do as she said...they both seemed to be having temper flare-ups at the moment, and you didn’t want to be apart of that. You sighed and walked into the hall, then down to Sora’s room.

He was also passed out in bed, with some bandages around his head. You could hear Ven and Lulu yelling, but you couldn’t make out anything other than their tones. You shut the door, trying to keep things quiet for Sora. You pulled the chair up to his bedside and buried your head in your arms, sighing again. You couldn’t understand how they were arguing at a time like this. You were getting tired of all the fighting.

Soon enough, the yelling stopped, and a door slammed, then Lulu walked into the room and sat down by you. You didn’t lift your head up, but you at least turned your head so you could look at her.

“Is everything okay?” You asked, talking about Ven.

“He’s just...very angry right now.”

“I feel like his temper is getting worse, is something bothering him?”

“I couldn’t begin to tell you. I believe he fears that Riku might die, he wont be able to help his brothers, you will die, and he will let everyone down. I know him better than he knows himself, he is fine as he is. There is just no arguing with him.”

“I guess that’s just a family trait then.” You said, thinking of any time you ever tried arguing with Roxas, “Well, the blondes anyway.” You looked back at Sora, and put a hand on his, hoping that you might in some way comfort him. He began to stir a little, saying something lowly before turning his head and falling to sleep again. You smiled slightly, even in this condition, he was still himself.

Lulu sighed, “I just don’t know what to do with him. He used to be such a happy child. In fact, I’m fairly certain that Sora is the way that he is because of Ventus.” She pulled the covers up over his shoulder, seeing that they had shifted when he rolled around.
