You weren’t sure how long it had been, or where you were, but you certainly weren’t on the bridge any more. In fact, you were laying in a comfortable bed with nice thick sheets. You were beginning to wake up from your long ‘nap’ and you noticed an old man with dark circles around his eyes and a ponytail on top of his head. His eyes made it look a little like he was a panda. He was sitting in a chair by your bed with a book in his lap, turning the pages rapidly.

You involuntarily took in a deep breath from sheer boredom, and he was alerted to your sudden consciousness.

“I see you are finally awake, Miss Strife.” He said, shutting the book.

“I guess I am…” you mumbled, sitting up, then cringing back down, the large gash on your stomach reopening a bit as you did.
“I was asked to look after you.” He said, putting a hand over the bandages that were covering your abdomen, causing you to jump away form his touch. “That reflex is good, it means your nerves didn’t suffer any damage.”

You nodded, more alarmed now that you realized you weren’t wearing a shirt, just bandages wrapped around you from your hip bones to your collar bones, like a mummified tubetop. That meant whoever bandaged you saw everything. You didn’t know who this guy was, or if he knew anything about medicine, so you had to assume that it was either Lavi or Ven that did it. Your face began to heat up and you had to lay back down and cover your eyes with your hand out of embarrassment.

“I know what you are thinking, but I assure you, I was the one to bandage you up, Miss Strife.” He said monotonously, reading your mind. You didn’t really feel any better about the situation, but at least it wasn’t one of the boys.

“You seem to know my name. Who are you again?” You asked, taking your hand from over your eyes to look at the old man again.

“I don’t have a typical name, so you may simply call me Bookman.” He replied.

“Oh, so you’re a bookman, like Lavi.” You guessed, sitting up.

“Please don’t loop me in the same pool as that idiot.” He sighed and you laughed lightly. The movement from sitting up made you dizzy, and you couldn’t figure out why.
“I’m not feeling to well.” You mumbled laying back.
“That is natural. I recently gave you some medication to help you regenerate blood. It is supposed to be taken with food, but in your comatose state, that was impossible. Lightheadedness and a stomach ach are the least of your worries though.”

“I guess.” You said, making a fist with your injured hand and letting it go, then repeating the action several more times, as if you could somehow make it stop hurting by moving it around. After a while, you decided that maybe you would just go back to sleep. Bookman didn’t seem much like he was one for talk, so you figured he wouldn’t mind if you did. You rolled over so you were facing away from him, then jumped, falling out of bed as you realized there had been someone else in the room the whole time.

You fell to the floor, becoming entangled in the blankets as you went. You rolled a few feet on the floor and tried to reorientation yourself to look for the boy again. You saw him leaning against the wall near the door, smiling slightly at how idiotic you were. He had silvery-white hair, more like Allen than Riku, and a tall slender frame. He looked very much like Allen, and as you struggled to get out of the blankets to get a better look at him, he cracked a smile and chuckled lightly.
“Who are you?” You asked accusingly as you noticed he was laughing at you. Just as he was about to answer, the door opened up and Lavi’s bright and cheery face barged in.
“≈≈≈≈≈, what are you doing down there?” He asked as Bookman stood. You just shrugged, still looking at the guy on the wall.
“How is Ventus?” Bookman asked Lavi, who also shrugged.
