today marks a month since my father gave up smoking. he never wished for a cigarette or craved it since, not even for a day. he gave up due to being in an argument with my sister and me (even somewhat our mother). he quit out of frustration. despite having smoked for over 40 years, his lungs have always been healthier than many non-smokers i know. i'm proud of him, despite the painful reason. it's odd yet refreshing to do some activities with him because they don't include a whole pack of cigarettes anymore.
