Y/n's pov
Refreshing, noting like a good nap in the corner of a room. Sublime, really. I was about to get some good news.
"Y/n you'd never believe it-." Yamaguchi starts as he walks into the room, pausing as soon as he sees me.
"Yo..." I pause. "That's the dino basket."
"What... What happened?" he asks with wide eyes.
"Huh? What?" I ask. "Don't act like I don't always look like trash. So did I win the pageant thing or what?"
"You did," he nods his head.
He sets the basket down and starts walking over to me slowly.
"Isn't this good?" I ask. "I dino crap and the class gets something right?"
"Your hair," he says.
"What? I like it crusty," I shrug.
"No," he shakes his head. "What happened."
"What do you mean-?" I start but pause immediately when I feel it. "What the hell is that?"
"I don't know," he says.
"It's everywhere," I say in disbelief as I attempt to run my fingers through my hair. "What is it? What does it look like?" I start to panic.
"I don't know," he says with panic in his voice.
"Well... Can you like brush it out?" I ask. "Or comb it."
"I don't think I can," he says. "Its like glue... Well, it looks like glue."
"Like 'let's make slime' glue or 'that's a lot of damage lemme get the glue' glue?" I ask. "Come on, tell me."
"Well... I'm sure we can get it out," he says. "If we try hard enough."
"What do you mean if we try hard enough?" I question.
"Its not the slime kind," he says.
"Then what is it?" I ask.
"I don't know," he says. "Its glue."
"What it look like?" I ask. "Is it bad? It feels bad, tell me it's not bad!"
"If I tell you it's not bad will not cry?" he asks.\
"I'm not crying," I say. "I'm not a crybaby."
"Well I can't deal with crying people," he says. "Should I get Tsuki?"
"Don't," I wipe my face. "I'm not crying."
"Y/n don't cry!" he practically yells. "Please don't!"
"I'm not crying," I say. "My eyes are just leaking."
"What are we gonna do?" he questions. "I don't think it'll wash out. What if we have to cut it?"
"Cut it!" I yell. "No no no, we can't cut it. No, we need to fix it."
"We can't fix it," he says. "Its too... It done for."
"Don't say that it's done for," I say. "Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"
"Well what do you want me to do!?" he questions.
"Well, what do we have to do?" I ask.
"I think we have to cut it," he says.
"But I don't want to cut my hair."
"Want me to call Tsuki?"
"No, don't call him."
"Then what?"
"Then cut my hair!"
"What?" he asks.
"Just... Just cut out the glue," I say. "Just the glue though."
"You want me to cut it?" he asks.
"No, of course, I didn't want it cut," I say. "But its stuck, what else is there to do?"
"I don't want to mess up your hair!" he yells.
"It's full of glue, it's done," I say. "Just do it."
"But Y/n," he says. "What if I make it worse."
"Just try to keep it as long as you can," I say. "Please."
-
"It's fine," I say. "It's fine."
"Y/n..." Yamaguchi stars.
"It's fine," I say again. I can stay home till it grows out."
"You can't do that," he says. "That'll be months."
"Exactly," I nod my head. "It's fine, it can grow. It will grow, it has to grow."
"Do you want a hat?" he holds it out.
"Yes," I take it. "Thanks."
"Well short hair isn't that bad," he says.
"Yes," I put it on, making sure to shove all of my hair into it. Well, what little hair I have left. "Thanks."
"Do you want me to call Tsuki?" he asks.
"No," I shake my head. "I'm going to call my brother and ask him to pick me up. Its still Kei's birthday, I don't want to bother him, I have every other day of the year to bother him."
"Are yo-" he starts.
"Yeah," I nod my head. "I'm good."
"Okay," he nods his head, unsure.
Okay, i'm done having a spazz attack now.
