2 weeks later, in the capital of Xing Dynasty.

The market district in the capital was boisterously loud as merchants and sellers loitered across the city.

A young man, who was sipping tea in one of the most famous tea houses in the capital, looked down on the view below him through the open window. His eyes searching for a certain figure amongst the crowds.

Although it was called a tea house, in fact it was an open-air restaurant that allowed nature into the space, it combined both the building and the backyard garden to create a very sensual and relaxing atmosphere.

In such an environment, the young man who sat in the corner of the room was very much conspicuous. His sharp and handsome features and his scholar's outfit only further enhanced his clean and crisp aura. His noble temperament caused several ladies in the tea houses to cast a few glances on him. In his hands was a book with an old cover— most would assume that it was one of the cardinal texts that he was reading, while in fact it was a book about the art of war, Thirty-six Stratagems.

The young man was Crown Prince Fu Lin who disguised as a scholar. Assuming as a lowkey person with little presence, Fu Lin completely hid the sharpness that he had honed throughout the years in wars and replaced them with a gentle temperament.

His slender fingers tapped the table in rhythm, impatience was clearly in his eyes.

"Your Highness, your guest informed us that he will be late for half an hour." The assassin disguised as a guard whispered in his ears.

A day before he departed to the Xing Dynasty, he received a letter from an unknown source. The letter asked for a collaboration between them, and if he's interested, it asked him to set up a meeting to further discuss the topic.

Fu Lin had asked his subordinate to trace back where the letter was from, and he soon found out that it was from the Xing Dynasty that he was planning to visit. Obviously, Fu Lin was interested, or rather, he was curious about the person who sent the letter, and since he was going to the Xing Dynasty anyway, he decided to set up their meeting in one of the famous tea houses in the Xing Dynasty.

"Hm.. alright." Fu Lin closed the book he was reading and stood up, "I'll take a walk around the compound then. Let me know when he has arrived."

"Yes, your Highness."

Fu Lin walked to the back of the teahouse where a small garden existed. A small red pavilion laid in the middle of a lily pond, a study bridge hovered over it to connect the land and the pavilion. Cherry blossoms and beautiful flowers decorated the field.

It was already afternoon and the weather was scorching hot. Most people would stay under the shelter, and so there's barely anyone in the garden.

His eyes came to a halt when his eyes landed on a presence.

Hm? There's someone else in here?

Underneath the cherry blossoms, a young lady about 15 years of age stood still. She had a small frame about the height of 4 feet and 9 inches. Her slender body was wearing clothing of plain downy yellow, and a cloak embroidered with flowers. Her black hair was like a waterfall. Under the faint warmth of the sun, it emitted a faint, enchanting luster. Her side profile was hidden by her hair, even so it did not diminish her beauty but rather added a hint of mysterious charm.

Oblivious to the presence of the man behind her, the young lady reached out her hand to catch a falling petal, her long sleeves slid down to reveal a fair hand with tender and porcelain-like skin. As the wind blew gently, it carried with it a few strands of soft hair that mesmerized people, revealing her lips that curved into a gentle smile.
