"Rose..."

...

...

...

"Rosie... Wake up."

...

...

...

"Hey! Wake up!"

Rose slowly opened her eyes. She was covered in snow, and the bright sun blinded her as she sat up.

"I think I did it, Jennie.", said Rose as she looked towards Jennie's direction.

"Jennie? Who's that?", asked Chen while brushing off the snow from Rose's shoulders and hair.

"That's me. Hey... Catch.", said Jennie from the entrance to the street. She tossed something wrapped in brown paper towards Chen.

Chen opened it slowly. When he saw what was inside, his mouth formed the biggest smile, as his eyes widened. She looked at Rose while chewing.

"Rosie, look what your friend gave me! It's a super special bread! There's like ground meat and tomatoes and lettuce in the middle. It's so delicious! Have some!"

"That came straight from the castle kitchens, so eat it slowly, Chen. Or do I call him Hank?", asked Jennie towards Rose, who was stretching her neck and arms.

"Chen should be fine. Sorry, Jennie. I couldn't turn us back into adults. Did you check the doors?", asked Rose in return.

"As far as I could see, all the nearby doors are now pink. If my plan worked, then only the door I chose would be brown. Hopefully."

"Hopefully. Let's go. We shouldn't waste time. I'm sure Loren would notice. Chen, we're going to play a game, okay? You win if you follow my commands. Alright? For now, all three of us have to run as fast as we can..", said Rose.

"What's the prize?", asked Chen.

"More special meat sandwiches.", answered Jennie as another sandwich appeared in her hands.

Chen nodded excitedly. He wrapped his special meat sandwich in the paper again, and all three of them ran as fast as they could.

Loren looked at the door to the bakery. It was bright pink. He placed his hand on it, and the color brown spread out like webs from his fingertips, washing over the pink.

But when he removed his hand, the pink overtook the brown again.

"Looks like our dear Rosie is learning how to control her dreams."

Jennie was sure that she came from the Northern part of town, so they had no choice but to take the road leading to the bakery.

So far, all the doors they saw were pink. Jennie tested a few of them, and they turned out to be regular doors.

"What if it didn't work, Jennie? What if even the way out is a pink door now?", asked Rose.

"If my theory is right, that door exists in both your dream and mine. And I told you to focus on all the doors in your dream to be pink, right?", said Jennie while looking at every door they passed.

"Yeah. Even the carriage doors are all pink now."

"I focused on all the doors in my dream to be brown. I especially imagined the door to be a shiny brown. So if we both succeeded, then there should be only one brown door here.", said Jennie.
