Chapter 69: The Two Teams

Inside The Throne Room.

After the ceremony for the second trial had finished, all the lords and ladies gathered around the prince. They had a million questions for Lisa about what they just heard.

Thankfully, General Shindong was standing beside Lisa. He used his shoulders and elbows to keep people away from the prince.

"The prince has to prepare for his second trial. Goodbye, everyone.", said General Shindong.

"Prince Lee! What makes you think you can--

"GOODBYE, EVERYONE!", he repeated louder.

Everyone rushed towards the double doors. The throne room was empty in less than a minute.

"Should we eat together, your highness?", asked Rose once they were alone.

Lisa let out a sigh of relief and nodded. "I asked Lady Yoona to prepare lunch for us. Jennie will meet us there.", she said.

They arrived at Lisa's home at the same time as Jennie and Bambam.

Yoona had been waiting for the group. She gestured for the servants to bring out the dishes once Prince Lee entered the courtyard. Jennie rushed to the kitchen and helped. They carried platters of aromatic dishes from the kitchen to the table inside the main house.

Here are some of the items that Lady Yoona had prepared. Roasted stag in plum and wine sauce. Poached and peppered quail eggs, served with melted cheese and spiced ham. Snow crab ceviche stuffed in squash blossoms, deep-fried until crispy. A side salad with peaches, basil, cashews, iceberg lettuce, and a nutty sesame dressing. A warm ginger and celery soup.

"Wow.", said Seulgi as a pool of drool gathered underneath her open mouth.

"You have outdone yourself, Lady Yoona.", said Lisa, who couldn't help but lick her lips.

"Is that everything? Do you still need help?", asked Rose when she noticed Lady Yoona walking back and forth.

"There are a few more dishes to serve. Would you help me carry the dessert, Madame Roseanne?", asked Yoona with a smile.

"Gladly.", answered Rose.

Rose followed Yoona to the kitchen. They ran into a chewing Jennie, who was carrying two baskets of steamed lobster dumplings.

"Yah!!! You're a guest here. Why are you helping?", asked Jennie as they passed by each other.

"Because I don't want your short legs to tire themselves. And I enjoy serving people, Jennie.", replied Rose while sticking her tongue out.

Inside the kitchen were fresh fruits and semi-frozen chocolates. Yoona prepared two bowls and started plating the dishes beautifully.

Rose looked around the kitchen curiously. It was her first time in a big kitchen, and she couldn't help but be amazed.

"Come here and help me, Madame.", said Yoona.

Rose stood beside Yoona and started scooping balls of cantaloupes, watermelons, dragon fruits, and pineberries into each bowl. 

"Any news from Mother?", asked Rose under her breath.

"Madame Dara sent me a message this morning. They found The Crestfallen marooned in a small island to the East of here. The captain, along with most of the crew, was dead. The few survivors had their memory wiped. They had no idea how they got there. Our sisters are trying to undo the magic as we speak."
