Elysia's eyes squeezed shut tightly, her nails digging into her palms hard enough to draw blood. She could hear her heartbeat pounding in her ears.
"Are you sure?" Hermione asked hesitantly.
"Do it."
The words choked out before she could change her mind. I'm going to regret this. I have to do it. He needs to breathe. He can't breathe with me. No matter what he says, I take away his air. Being with me is destroying him.
A deep, trembling breath from Hermione who had to close her own eyes in order to do this. Hand gripping her wand tight enough for it to snap in half.
