She Knows (J.Cole, Amber Coffman, Cults)
"She knows."

"Feeling rather dandy, don't we Rem?" A voice called from behind him, the distinctive gentle slap at the back of his head signifying Marlene's arrival. Remus turned around, cursing under his breath when Sirius' head perked up from the opposite side of the table. As if on cue, both James and Peter stopped arguing over the Potions essay, their eyes focused on the blonde.

"Oh, he's more than just dandy..." Sirius murmured under his breath, returning back to his cereal. A sharp kick under the table was enough to shut him up.

"Yeah, okay." Remus mumbled, feeling his cheeks heat up. That was the thing with Marlene McKinnon. She seemed to have ears and eyes everywhere, to the point where it was a matter of milliseconds if the latest gossip would reach hers, Peter's or Dumbledore's ears first. However, even if she didn't know (which was highly unlikely), there was something about the way she looked at everyone that made them feel like she knew their deepest, darkest secret even before they did.

"What is it this time, Marls?" Peter asked, drinking some of his pumpkin juice to hide his smirk. Remus had returned to the dorm the previous night with Callisto by his side, an empty bottle in both their hands. Without as much as a word, the Slytherin had let him in their room and left, only to leave behind three very confused Marauders. And there ensued a detailed, yet remarkably drunk narration of Serena's outburst and everything that took place in the Astronomy Tower. However, even in his drunken state, no comments were made on the concerning revelation of certain not so friendly feelings for the girl.

"I assume you know Callisto and that god-awful git broke up." She began, plopping on the seat right next to Remus. She carefully inspected their eager expressions, enjoying the anticipation in their eyes. "Well, do you know why they broke up?"

"She got bored of him?" Peter guessed, taking a bite of his pancakes,

"No." Marlene pointedly replied. "I was coming from Slughorn's class because I forgot to hand in my essay and Luke was coming out with Malfoy." She paused for a moment, her eyes searching the Slytherin Table. "Three o' clock, right next to Parkinson."

"What?"

"Pucey, you dumbass."

And Pucey there was! Remus should clearly make out his figure next to Parkinson, an angry expression evident in his face as his eyebrows were furrowed and his jaw was clenched. For a brief moment, he felt sorry for whomever was the target of his anger. Curiously, he followed his gaze, a cold  rush washing over him when he saw Callisto sitting with Regulus, completely unaware of the daggers aiming at her.

"He must have gotten the bruise treated and his nose fixed, but let me tell you, he didn't look as polished fifteen minutes ago." Marlene's voice snapped him out of his daze. "I talked to a friend from Slytherin and she told me that apparently Luke tried to get her into sleeping with him and when she said no, things got ugly. Turns out Callie has a mean right hook."
