"Oh glorious Godric!" James exclaimed, his eyes widening the moment he saw Callisto entering Lily's dorm. The blonde looked down at herself, before she glanced up at James, evidently confused.

Godric Gryffindor had been a tall man with a rather unkept beard and a sizable belly.

"Shit, Potter." Callisto mumbled. "That hurt."

"Something happened, didn't it?!" The man continued, turning to Lily who was leaning against the wall, observing him with a smirk. "Lils! You see it too, right?!"

"You wore cool underwear today, didn't you?" Marlene proposed, opening a small parcel, filled with homemade sesame crispy bars made for her by none other than Euphemia Potter. "I feel great when that happens."

"NO!" James argued, barely able to contain his excitement. "SHE MADE UP WITH MOONY!"

"You did?!" Dorcas perked up, accidentally knocking over Marlene's food. "Finally!"

"Did you guys kiss?!" Lily joined in on the frenzy, pushing Callisto over to the bed. "You need to tell us everything!"

"Especially me!" James stressed, nodding emphatically. "Well, go on then! Speak, child!"

"He kissed me." Callisto stated, feeling her cheeks heat up as the four Gryffindors squealed, James letting out a wolf-whistle at the news. "And I think he meant it."

"Of course he meant it."

"Did he ask you out?" Marlene asked, popping a bar in her mouth.

"No, not yet." Callisto answered, not really understanding why all of her friends' expressions fell. James especially looked particularly troubled, a frown taking over his features. "Why are you all looking at me like that?"

"Has he learned nothing from me?" He pondered, shaking his head in disappointment. "I have been giving all three of them a bunch of creative and fun ways to ask a girl out for six years now, and he dismisses me like that. Madness, Elphie; pure madness..."

"They weren't fun." Lily muttered, sending him a cheeky smile when he turned to look at her, completely appalled by the confession. "Anyway, I thought that since everything is out in the open now, he would ask you out."

"That's no big deal." Callisto shrugged. "I'll ask him out after dinner."

"I thought the guy was supposed to ask the girl out." Dorcas thoughtfully commented, before she shrugged. "Eh, I wouldn't know..."

"Potter," Marlene called. "Ask Dork if she wants to go out with me. You're the only guy here."

"She's right here." He said, but turned to the girl anyway. "Dorcas, Marlene asked if y-"
