She stood behind them with her signature grin and arms crossed over her chest.
"Y/n -aherm- uhhh what're you doing here?" Harry asked.
Y/n's eyes flitted towards Ron, not knowing what to say.
He merely shrugged like an idiot so Y/n casually blurted, "books"
"Books?" Hermione repeated.
"Yup, I was just looking for a book when I spotted Ron's hair" Y/n explained.
Ron scowled at her but said nothing.
"So what're you guys doing?" She asked, leaning against a book shelf and raising her eyebrows.
"Uhm... we're..." Hermione tried to think of a clever lie, since they weren't technically supposed to be helping Harry with the task.
She was saved by the sound of Moody's wooden leg clunking around the corner.
"Granger, Weasley, Diggory, you need to come with me" he growled.
The three of them exchanged glances.
"Potter you stay here." He added.
"Are we in trouble Professor?" Hermione asked.
"No, Dumbledore just want to see ya in his office"
"That sounds like we're in trouble" Y/n muttered under her breath, only loud enough so Hermione could hear. Which resulted in her getting scolded by a nudge.
"Alright well, we'll see you later mate" Ron said to Harry, who looked completely lost and terrified.
Hermione nodded and began following Moody out of the library.
"Good luck Barrold" Y/n said, patting him onto of his head.
Harry felt himself grow red and it suddenly get as though he had lost all ability to speak.
