"Wish me luck, okay?" He said. I nod my head. "Of course..." I said. He smiles and turns around. Chrome stares at me with a sad face, knowing how upset I am. "I'll make sure he'll be fine..." he said. I just nod my head. He turns around and follows Senku.

Come back alive, Senku...

I sit down by the pile of Chrome's hut. Old man Kaseki is currently making another mask. I turn my head to see Ginro still shaking in fear.

"Sheesh, why am I sitting here helping you again?" Old man Kaseki said. "Senku and Chrome are both wrong..." Ginro said. I turn my head to look at him. "What do you mean?" I asked.

"How is it not scary?! You might die! Jeez, I hate it when people do that! They act all brave, but they're actually reckless!" He said. "Considering you'd rather run your mouth than shut up and run, I'm guessing you feel like a loser for being so weak" old man Kaseki said.

"They don't act brave, Ginro... I'm sure they are as scared as you are. It's normal. Fear is a part of being a human. It comes in various form. Whether you're scared for yourself... or for other people. Just like how scared you are of dying... I'm scared of losing Senku" I said, hugging my knees. I feel tears slowly streams down my cheeks at the thought of Senku dying.

"Fear is the key of long life. I used to be quite a wimp myself. Y/N's right. They're really scared inside, too. No one is immune to fear. But we try to overcome fear for the sake of something dear to us. Using reason and willpower. That's what it looks like to me, at least..." Old Man Kaseki said, standing up.

"Whoops, I got carried away and made another gas mask. I guess I'll leave it here, since I have no use for it" he said, placing the mask down. He turns around and walks away. I smile softly to myself when Ginro stands up. He grabs the mask and turn to look at me.

"Y/N..." he said. I hum softly. "What is it?" I asked. "Why didn't you answer Senku. If you feel the same way for him?" He asked. "Senku is a strong-willed man. The way he said it, he makes it sounds like an indirect goodbye. I don't wanna lose him... so I told him I'd give him an answer when he comes back. To give him a reason to come back..." I said. He nods his head at what I said.

"I'll make sure Senku comes back alive..." Ginro said. I smile softly at what he said. "Thank you, Ginro..." I said. He smiles and puts on the gas mask. He turns around and walks away to pursue Chrome and Senku. I smile sadly and hugs my knees, burying my face into my arm as I start to cry softly. Senku... please come back safely.

I sit by the tree. Kohaku is leaning against the stairs, while Suika is going back and forth. I keep my head down, trying to keep a positive mind. Trying to keep myself calm. Senku and the others will come back. They will be okay. Senku won't go down without a fight... he's a strong guy.

I hear Suika's dog let out a bark. I turn my head to see Senku and the others. My eyes widened as I stand up. He struggles to carry the basket filled with the sulfuric acid.

"We made it past the biggest hurdle!!" Chrome said. Senku place the basket down. He turns to look at me and smiles. I choke out a sob and runs towards him. I throw my arms around his torso, crying softly into his chest.

"You came back, Senku..." I said out. He wraps his arms around me, gently running his hand through my hair. "Yeah, I'm back..." he said, tightening his arms around me.

"I was so worried..." I said, pulling away slightly. He cups my cheeks, gently wiping my tears. "Don't be... I'm here now, right?" He said. I just smile and nod my head. I stand on my toes and slowly wraps my arms around his neck. I close my eyes as I gently press my lips against his. I can feel him responding to the kiss almost instantly.

We pull away for air. I lean my forehead against his. I smile softly. "I love you too, Senku..." I said. His eyes widened at what I said.

"Y-You... you're not joking... right??" He said. I shake my head. "No... of course not. I won't toy around with your feelings. I love you, Senku... I love you so much" I said. He smiles happily and pulls me into another kiss, cupping my cheeks. I wrap my arms around his neck, kissing him back.

"So... will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, pulling away but still have his forehead against mine. I smile softly at him. "Of course, Senku..." I said. He grins at my answer.

He pulls away and picks me up. He starts to twirl us around. I let out a squeal as I hold onto his shoulders out of reflect. Eventually, I start to laugh.

"Okay, okay... I'm getting dizzy. Put me down now, Senku" I said. "Nope..." he said, shaking his head. His looking up at me, because he's still carrying me in his arms.

I pout at him which makes him laugh. He place me down on my feet. He lean his forehead against mine. "You have no idea how happy I am right now, Y/N..." he said.

I hear someone clear their throat. In an instant, I remember there's other people around us. I pull away from Senku to see everyone staring at us with smirks on their faces.

"Sooooo... looks like we have a new couple among us..." Chrome said, smirking at us. "True. But make sure to not do that too much. There's a kid here..." Kohaku said, covering Suika's watermelon mask eyes. I blush deep shade of red. I turn to face Senku, burying my face in his chest.

"I forgot there's other people around us..." I said. He let out a chuckle and ruffle my hair softly. "So what? Let them see how much we love each other" he said. I pull away and hit his chest.

"How can you be so casual about it?!" I said. He just shrugs his shoulders. I roll my eyes. He lets out a soft laugh and pulls me closer. I just lean my head against his chest. I can hear his heartbeat is beating at a fast rate.

Oh... he is nervous too. He's just good at hiding it. I let out a soft giggle and tightens my arms around his torso. I'm so happy. Senku is back... and he's okay. Then on top of that, he's my boyfriend now.
