"The guys are going in a separate car." Kory informs Rachel as she puts her earrings on before they leave.
"Oh ok. Why though?" Rachel adding her dark purple lipstick on.
"Because.. it'll be fun when we arrive late for the whole ball to drop their jaws when they see us coming." Kory winks
"Ha. Like Cinderella."
"Pfft, girl! Did Cinderella kick ass and save the world?" Kory jokes
"Good point." Rachel and Kory leave.
Conner, Dick, Gar and Tim still in the limo arriving to the party.
"Sweet!" Gar and Conner pushing all the buttons
"Guys please." Dick tells the boys.
"Gar made me." Conner rats out BB
"Dude!" Gar shouts
"Look at all these people!" Tim wide eyed
"Just act natural and mind your surroundings." Dick tells the boys
"Nightwing! Superboy!" The press shout
Half an hour later.
Superboy has girls all around him fangirling. Dick is talking to politicians, and Tim is hanging with Gar and shy.
"Would you look at that?" Gar points to Conner. "Guy doesn't have an honest thought behind that head and yet he gets all the glory and attention."
"You can't be jealous of Conner. He can't help it. I mean he's a Superman clone." Tim educated
"I'm not. He's my friend.. I guess I just feel like no one cares about some guy who can turn green.."
"Bro! Are you kidding?! You can turn into any animal. You're like a shape shifter." Tim boasts
Gar chuckles. "Thanks, man."
"Wow.." Tim's eyes widen.
"What?" Gar asks wondering what Tim's expression was then realizing Kory and Rachel walk in looking like goddesses
Gar looking at Rachel up and down in her dress with his mouth open.
"Rachel.. you look-" Gar stands up to let the woman of his dreams how beautiful she is until he is cut off.
"Beautiful." Sebastian aka brother blood walks up to her.
"And you are?" Rachel asks
"My apologies, dear. Sebastian." He holds her hand and kisses her wrist.
"Rachel." She introduces herself
"I know. I'm kind of a fan." He winks
She giggles and looks down shy.
"If I may.. I'd like to lead you in this dance. That's if your mate can allow me of course?" He looks to Gar.
"Well-" Gar is cut off
"Oh. We're not dating." Rachel blurts. "You don't mind though.. do you Gar?"
"Um.. why would I mind?" Gar fakes a smile.
"Much appreciation, mate." Sebastian takes her hand and leads her in a dance.
Gar feeling defeated in heart. He knows he never tried to ask Rachel out but in that moment he knew he had enough courage to ask for her a dance at least but as always something got in the way.
"Who is that with Rachel?" Dick rushes to Gar
"Sebastian. Apparently he's yet another better guy than me." Gar mumbles before taking a shot.
"Oh he's cute." Kory bragging.
"I don't know. I haven't seen him here and he all of sudden Rachel is fine to dance with him? That doesn't sound like her." Dick worries
"Ok, papa bear. Maybe let Rachel enjoy being her age." Kory brings up. "Gar.. you reek of booze. You know you're not allowed to do that."
"I don't even wanna be here." Gar complains
"I mean.. I know this isn't exactly what we're used to but it's important to get to know the people." Kory teaches
Gar nods.
"I'm gonna go find out what these people know about him." Dick says before walking off
"Hey.." Kory starts "I know what is about..I just didn't want to say anything in front of dick."
"What are you talking about?" Gar looks down at the table
"Rachel dancing with a strange guy. A very hot stranger.. and you realize how much you care." Kory stated
Gar scoffs. "See? That's where you get me wrong, Kor." Gar belches and talks like he's half asleep. "Because I don't think about Rachel like that.. I mean.. she's more like a.."
"Gar how much have you drank?" Kory astounded from the smell
"Just a few." He squeaks
Sebastian and Raven dancing
"My, my. That is a beautiful chakra." He glorifies.
"Um thanks. Departing gift.. from my dad."
"Ah yes. I know." He giggles. "It only makes you shine.." he dips her " a little more."
As she dipped down she looked over and saw green haired friend acting odd which caused her focus to drift.
"Rachel." Dick appears.
"Dick. This is-" Rachel tries to introduce
"I know who he is."
There is tension and it makes Rachel uncomfortable.
"We're about to leave for the night, Rachel. Say your goodbyes." Dick says before walking away.
"I'm sorry." Rachel apologizes to Sebastian.
"No. No. I understand." He kisses her wrist again softly. "Until we meet again, Ms. Roth."
