The next day, Damien visits.
Dick and Damien in the training room.
"Truth is.. father thinks I need sometime away. To act more my age." Damien admits
"Oh.I see. Well, we're going to a parade tonight. We'd love to have you."
As Damien walks by the kitchen he sees Rachel. He is not sure what to say but approaches her anyway.
"Hey."
Rachel is stunned. "Hey?"
"How are you?"
"Amazing. What are you doing here?"
"I'm just visiting..You look:. Nice."
"Thanks.. I have to go." She awkwardly walks away.
Raven and Conner was playing chess and whoever won had to babysit Mar'i
Gar walks in "Oh what game?"
"Chess. Don't talk. It's distracting" Conner sasses
"What a grump." Gar sassed back
"Well, he's losing. I'd say it's understandable" Rachel cocks a brow
Conner groaned
"What's the problem? It's just a game." Gar sitting beside them
"Not exactly. loser babysits" raven explained
"Ooh." Gar whistled
"You're just gonna sit in your room all night. What's the difference of just bringing mar'i in there with you?" Conner annoyed
"Because I don't have to hear a crying baby."
"Well, Rae if you lose I'll stay here to help." Gar trying to be smooth
Rachel was about to make a move to end the game but secretly wanted to hang out with Gar again. She folds the game: "damn."
"I won! You have to babysit!" Conner laughs and leaves
"Well. That usually never happens." Rae muttering
Later that night everyone else went out and gar and Rachel watched the baby
"She's crying. What do you think is wrong with her?" Gar eating a bag of chips
"I don't know.." Rachel attempts to pick her up and rock her
"Aw. You for her to stop."
"I did.. didn't I?" Rachel feels proud
"So um I heard Damien is back.." Gar mentioned
"Yea. I saw him." She put sleeping Mar'i down.
"How do you feel?" They both sat on the couch.
"Weird honestly."
"He didn't get on his knees and beg for your forgiveness? Bring flowers?" Gar tries to make his point
"No! No he didn't.."
"Rae.. You deserve those things. If I was Damien.. I wouldn't stop at nothing.. to show you how sorry I was." Gar romanticizing the moment
Rachel blushed "I think you would too" they slowly lean in and slowly embraced a kiss. Pulled away to look in their eyes and embraced another kiss only not so slowly.
It was one of those things where you seen something for the first time you didn't see before. Something hidden in plain sight.
Gar's hands around her hair while her hands in his. Gar slowly had her laying against a pillow while she rested and embraced him.
Someone came through the door and it was Damien to see his ex and old team mate making out while they were supposed to be babysitting his niece
He was upset. Mainly due to the fact he didn't think Gar was the type to want raven nor raven gar.
He slowly sneaked out so his presence wasn't known there
"Mm. Gar. Gar." He sighed and slightly moaned. "We shouldn't do this."
"Why not? You don't.. want this?"
"No. No. It's just.. I don't know.. fast. And I don't know I feel weird a baby witnessing."
"Oh.. maybe you're right." He stepped back.
Soon the titans came home and only Damien knew what happened
