The Guys at the beach playing vball.
"Conner, buddy. Easy on the ball." Dick worried
"Yea man. We don't wanna die by a volley ball going through us." Tim laughed
"Sorry, guys." Conner shrugs
"You can do it." Dick encourages
After a few minutes dick and Conner are winning against Tim and Gar.
"This isn't fair. You have Superman Jr. on your side." Gar complains
"I'm not even going at my best." Conner boasts
"Ugh. That's just harsh." Tim reacts
"Dick, cmon. Let's play something else... dick!" Gar complaining and realizing dicks attention is off focus.
All the boys look in his direction.
"Wow." Tim reacts seeing the girls come in their bathing suits
"Ok guys, relax. They're women. Your friends. Not objects." Dick educates them
"You were just drooling like 5 seconds ago." Gar mentioned
"Hi boys." Kory smiles knowing she's worth the gaze
"You men are gross. Come on, let's play." Rose grabs the ball
"Wait. Where's Rachel?" Dick asks
"Oh my.." Gar drops his jaw.
"Here I am." Rachel appears behind dick.
"What are you wearing?" Dick upset
"Dick. She's becoming a woman. She likes it." Kory shushes him
"Dick. You're not my dad. So chill."
Dick knowing he's not but loves her like she's his. "Never said I was. Doesn't mean I agree with you wearing that."
"Gar. Tell him he's being crazy." Rachel folding her arms
Gar still stunned he sees Rachel this way. "Uh.. I um.."
"Nevermind. Can't you just let me be me?" Rachel asks with her blue eyes staring up at him.
"Fine. Still not cool.. but I know you're growing.." he says giving in
"Still not your girlfriend?" Rose whispers walking by Gar still drooling.
Later on back at home.
"Hey.." Gar going up to rose.
"Hi? Lost?" Rose jokes
"Do you think Rachel noticed I um.."
"Drooling? Yea. We all did." She snarks
"Fine. Forget it." Gar irritated
"Gar." She calls back to him
"If you want something.. stop hiding from it." Rose makes her point and walks away
*Knock knock*
"Come in." Rachel answers
"Hey." Gar comes in.
"Hi." She closes her book.
"I was um.. wanting to ask you" Gar nervously tries to speak
"I was thinking of the time you and I teamed up against that one crazy guy who was trying to steal all the freezers from the ice cream shops."
"Ugh. Yes. He literally used ice cream as a weapon." Rachel laughed
"Like.. as if that was terrifying."
"What got you thinking of him?" Rachel wonders
"Well.. um. Before we were called on that mission.. we were taking a walk.. and I was gonna ask something kinda important." Gar explains
Rachel leans in.
"Rachel.. I'm really kinda super into you.. and I understand if you don't want to jeopardize our friendship.. but um.. I just felt you should know."
Rachel smiles. "You're so sweet."
"Naive too, huh?" He looks down
"No." Her hands strokes his cheek. She leans in to kiss his lips soft and sweet.
Gar surprised and feeling all the knots in his stomach loosen immediately.
