The gang was watching a special on forests and survival.
"Damn!" Tim yelled watching a snake attack a rabbit.
"Yikes." Rose said before drinking her Gatorade. "I remember when we went camping, I fell off this rock and broke my ankle... then when it snapped back.. it freaked me out so bad it gave me nightmares. That's when I started realizing I was different."
"Is throw up if that happened to me." Tim shared
"You would." She snarked
"What's camping?" Conner asked
"Are you serious?" Rose asked
"He doesn't know. He was born in lab." Gar spoke up. "It's when you go stay a night in the woods. Roast marshmallows, tell stories."
"Ghost stories." Rachel added. Lying under Gar's arm.
"Shit, we should go camping." Rose jumped up.
"Dick will probably be against it." Rachel mentioned
"Unless you say something." Gar added
"Me?" Rachel looked up confused.
"Yea, if you haven't noticed you're like his star child." Rose said walking over to the kitchen.
"C'mon, Rach. Conner needs to experience this. We could have fun with this experience too." Gar raises his brows
Rachel gives in "okay.. I can try."
Kory and Dick come back from Lamaze class.
"Hi, guys." Conner greeted them
"How was class?" Tim asks
"It was great. If dick didn't ask me if I was doing okay every 30 seconds." Kory jokes
"Excuse me for being caring." Dick adds
"Um.. I kinda want to ask you guys something?" Rachel closes her hands together.
"Uh oh." Kory mumbles
"I was thinking.. all this sheltering is nice.. but it's keeping us away from nature."
Kory and dick look confused.
"Ok, so I was wondering maybe we could go camping?" Rachel adds
Kory and Dick look at each other confused. "This is Rachel right? Because suggestion camping sounds like someone else." Kory mentions being able to see through her
"Well you see I have this big fascination for- Oh who am I kidding? Look. Conner never has got to have that life where he learnt how to fish, climb a tree and I think he'd really enjoy it." Rachel crosses her arms
"Well, I can't because of the baby." Kory says
"And I can't go because of Kory and Mar'i could come early. Sorry Rach." Dick apologizes
"That doesn't mean we can't though?" Rachel makes her point
"I guess that's true" Kory sitting around the island.
"What? No. You guys aren't responsible enough." Dick disagrees
"Not responsible? We can fight bad guys, and manifest powers but can't handle a camping trip?" Rachel mocks
"Dick. Come on.." Kory pleads
Dick scoffs. "Fine. But you guys are going to listen to my instructions and don't do otherwise.. Then I'll approve." Dick crosses his arms
Rachel smiles. Takes out her phone and texts everyone "Camping trip is on!"
As everyone gets ready dick sits them down before they head out.
"Okay. Rules. Conner just because you can't get hurt, don't pick up a snake. Don't go chasing after weird sounds. Don't pee in the lake. No drinking. No drugs. No sex." Dick stated the rules.
"Why no sex?" Gar asked and Rachel used pinched him.
"Planning on having sex, Gar?" Dick getting serious in his tone.
"He was kidding, Dick." Rachel reassures him.
"So whose driving?" Kory asks
"I can drive." Tim raises his hand
"I can help out too. Drive is like two hours." Gar adds
"It's that far?" Dick irritated
"You're not changing your mind though right?" Rose crossing her fingers
"No. No. You guys are still going to go because you will have a good time.. and I will have a peaceful weekend without fighting or whose hungry for what." Kory states
"Well, what are we waiting for?!" Conner excited jumped up ready to go
They all travel down the road in their rental van to the woods. Tim driving, Gar in the passenger, Conner and Rose dancing to music on their phones and Rachel reading her book.
BB looks back in the review mirror "hey, mama you look lonely."
She looks up and half smiles and shakes her head. "Don't think about it."
He made a funny face and looked back to the road.
"Gar. How much longer til we get there?" Tim asks
"My service isn't thorough." Gar trying to connect his phone.
"Use the map in the glovebox." Tim suggests
"Sure.. if I can read it." Gar opening it up and trying to find the spot. "Oh.. um. Should be here in about 5 minutes maybe? Turn right on chesney drive."
They come to turn. "Got it." Tim turns the vehicle as the gang hoots.
