Raven's worried she can not be who Gar wants her to be
Rachel is having nightmares or a raven being sacrificed but cannot see who it is that is behind it. She jumps up gasping for breath.
"Rachel?" Gar beside her jumps "are you okay? " holding her shoulder
She is quiet but doesn't want to alarm him. "I'm fine.. just thirsty." She gets up to get a glass of water
Gar feeling she wasn't being honest but gives her some space.
Rachel worried she is going to get worse and something might happen. She wants to protect her team but what if she's the threat..
A few days later Rachel is scouting and ignoring her teams get together and plan to work together.
Garfield calling Rachel. "Come on. Come on. Pick up."
Getting her voicemail he thinks to himself he wishes he knew where to find her. How to help her.
As he thought this Rachel creeped in his door way.
"Rach!" He ran to her and hugged her. Cupped her face "please stop running. I'm worried sick for you."
She retaliates from his embrace. "You should stop worrying about me, Gar."
"Stop caring about you? You've been my person before we were even together. You were first to me when in times you shouldn't have been.. don't tell me to stop caring."
Rachel's eyes tearing up. "You can't trust me Gar. Take a look at me. I've got sinister written everywhere."
"Rachel you are not your father." He holds her hand
"Maybe not now.. but one day I'm scared I'm going to be him.. or used for his purposes of the end."
"I'm here for you. The whole team is. We love you, rach."
"Gar you're not making this easy.."
"Then don't run away.. if you stay I know I can help.." cupping her face and kissing her lips and kissing him back
"I'm sorry." She mumbled and disappears
Gar upset feeling she is gone again.. scared for her. Wanting her. Worried what was she not telling him..
Raven finds herself in a cave finding writings of people who have worshipped her father.
"stagnum sanguinis" meaning pool of blood.
She goes further and hearing whispers. Completely dark and can feel evil.
Using her magic to light her way she finds a pool of blood.
"Raven" whispers of unknown embodied voices coming around the cave and causing her to trip into the pool of blood
As she is raised from it she feels different. Looking down seeing her complete attire turn white and feeling no darkness rising inside her.
"What is this? What happened to me?" Rachel frantic
Hearing whispers come from the back of the cave and seeing writings
"Raven pura"
"It's talking about me." Raven understanding The pool of bloods availing to change exactly.
She returns to the tower and sees no one is there but that the titans are fighting terra and deathstroke. Terra and back up fighters using her abilities to knock out starfire, cyborg, and Tim drake. While dick is still fighting deathstroke and beast boy trying to speak sense into her thinking she has some decency left
"Terra please." Beast boy trying to converse
"Again and again you act as if people have two sides. Maybe there's some people who just have one side. Garfield. Seems like you've been shown that recently." Terra pushing his nerves
Gar angry knowing she is referring Raven leaving the team. He attempts to turn but ravens hand touching his shoulder.
"Hi." She says softly feeling so happy to see him but worried he might still be angry.
"Rae? Uh new look?" Gar half smiling his lower fangs perfecting his smile as always.
Seeing Terra scream in anger "Let's finish this later. Go help Nightwing." Raven instructs as she flies up to meet Terra.
"New outfit. Same psycho." Terra sasses
"I'm not the one sleeping with an old guy and going against the people who wanted to be her friends."
She scoffs and tries to throw at Rachel but she blocks it by her magic.
After deathstroke, and Terra is defeated The team congratulate one another.
"Raven? I've missed you. How are you?.. what are you wearing?" Kori came to hug
"It's new to me as well. A lot has happened. But I'm here to stay."
Rachel sees Gar talking to Cyborg and expressing the fights with his hands. She walks to him.
"Uh I'll give you two a moment. Nice to have you back, Rae." He leaves
"So.. it looks like you've made some changes" Gar rubs his neck
"Yea.. well.. I found some interesting things to lead me to this.. I think I'm ridden of my fathers evil."
"Really? I'm so happy for you.. So what.. what's your plans?" Gar nervous
"Finding out about my new self abilities.. and hopefully mending something I might have broken"
Gar looks up. "You didn't..you didn't break me it's okay. I'm a bounce back guy ya know?" Gar trying to play it cool
"Sitting in your room listening to sad songs isn't bouncing back bro" cyborg yells from the back.
Gar scoffs. "He's joking." He acts nervously
"Gar I'm so sorry. If you only felt the fear of thinking you're gonna wake up to find those you love most gone and it's because of you.. you'd do the same." She tries to explain
"Rae, I do. You think I trust myself all the time? Sometimes I feel I'm being controlled by the beast.. but by those I love around me give me strength." He holds her hand
"I know.. and this is a new day. I'm sure you probably don't want to forgive me and try aga-" she was cut off by him kissing her with his arms around her waist and holding her up with her arms around his neck
