"Dick wants us in the living room for a meeting" Raven receives a text from rose
They gather up and wait for dick to come in.
"Hey, guys. So I know you guys have been wanting to get out of towns for a while."
"Oh yes!" Wally jumped up
Dick glaring
"Sorry" Wally sits back down
"As I was saying.. I booked us a cabin."
"Sweet." Gar high-fives Wally.
"A cabin?" Rose disappointed
"You don't have to go, ya know?" Damien irritated by rose already
"You know where you can go?" Rose fires back
"Okay. Okay. Listen. This is the best I could do. It will be fun. Roasting marshmallows, some hiking..Hot tub."
"Now you got our attention." Raven and rose agreeing
"Pack up. Leaving tomorrow. 3 house drive."
Later that night
Gar lying in his bed playing his hand held game.
*knock knock* Rachel comes in. "Hey."
"Hey." He looks up and realizes it's Rachel. "Hey" He puts his game away and walks over to her
"All packed?" She asks leaning against his dresser
"Yea.. I am. Did you come in here just for that update?" He uses a arm against the wall
"Oh I don't know.." she crosses her arms. "Maybe there was something else..but I just can't remember now." She teases
"Maybe.." he leans closer to her lips "I can help you with that"
Their lips gently touch and caress each other's. Ravens hand covering his shoulders and beast boy leaning down to kiss her more and grabbing her waist letting the moment sink and linger until Rachel pushes him off slightly.
"I better get some sleep." She says teasing him but not trusting their own actions if she'd continue.
The next day once arriving to the cabin.
Wally and Damien helping unload the van.
"Hey" Wally nudges Damien. "Any news with projects R?"
"Project what?" Damien confused
"Ya know.. Rachel"
"Oh.. No. I mean she seems to be occupied somehow."
"Look around. This is the perfect place to show her how you feel"
Damien looks around.. "Sorry?"
"It gets cold and spooky at night. Things go bump, and she'll need a person she can count on."
"Rachel? Pretty sure she's the scariest thing here."
"Good point.. Oh! When we roast s'mores and sit around the fire. Easy time to put your arm around her."
"Wally, I appreciate..this. But I got it." Damien not wanting to accept help.
"Dead man walking" Wally watching Damien walk toward the cabin.
"Dick. This is going to be wonderful. I think the kids would really enjoy this vacation" Kory joyous
"Absolutely.. with a great place to train." Dick mutters
"What? Dick. You never said-" Kory upset
"Come on.. what's the pain? They have the space why not use it?"
"At the cost of other things you might find enjoyable.."
"Oh..ohh. I see. Well, I was only kidding anyway." He winks
"Mhm"
Rachel goes into the girls bedroom where there is a bunk bed. "Oh wow."
"Oh.. roomy." Gar in the doorway.
"Isn't it?" She mocks. Putting her bags down.
Gar shutting the door and hugging her from behind.
"Too bad you gotta share with Rose." He mutters in her ear
"Well, until she gets here it's technically the room of those who reside for now." Pulling him in for a kiss
Rachel pulling him along to the bottom bed and Gar following climbing over her.
"That will be your bunk" Rose pushes the door open and sits her bags down
"And that would be my cue." Gar says before leaving
"So.. Chose the animal over the rich guy? Can't say I approve." Rose teases
After they all situate in their bunks they go to the living area.
"Anybody got an idea what we could do?" Dick asking
"Shouldn't that be your job?" Damien pointing out
"Well.." he looked over to starfire and she makes a face. "We could go for a hike?"
"Ugh..." Rachel's head went back
"Why don't we just enjoy the cabin for the day? Allow everyone to settle and relax first." Kory points out
"Yes! Nothing that requires sweat." Rachel sharing
The girls, Kory, Rachel and Rose go sit by the lake on the docks in their bathing suits.
"So.. You gonna talk about it?" Rose relaxing
"Hm?" Kory lifting her sunglasses
"Rachel over here having little secret love sessions with"
"Rose! It's my business." Rachel cutting her off
"What? It's not like you guys are super secretive anyway." Rose shrugs
"I think it's sweet." Kory adds
Damien and Conner come down and jump in the water making a ruckus.
"Well, it was nice while it lasted." Rose muttered
The boys swimming and yelling for the girls to come in.
Rose shrugs and goes in with the boys.
"Think I'll go in. Prepare dinner." Kory grabbing her iced tea and leaving
Damien see's Rachel by herself and raises out of the water and see's him walking toward her. She wants beast boy but can't help but to notice Damien is nicely sculpted.
"Hey.. Not a swimmer?" He comes and squats down to her side.
"Not unless it's night."
"Don't tell me. You're part vampire?" He jokes
"I just might be." Rachel sasses
They both chuckle.
"So.. could I reserve you a spot next to me by the fire tonight?" He lays his hand on hers.
Rachel embarrassed and awkwardly stutters
"Sorry. She's a little occupied, Darien." Beast boy coming from behind
Damien raises up. "It's Damien."
"I know.." Gar and Damien glaring.
Rachel stands to intrude on the if looks can kill battle "Okay. Okay. Gar why don't we go in and help Kory with dinner.."
