The next morning the both were quiet. They didn't wanna ruin their night by gossiping of it the next day.
Everyone is going to a Christmas festival.
Rachel is looking at christmas portraits of families along a fireplace
Gar walks up "Hey.."
"Hey..You know I can't tell you how many times I thought of this as a child."
"Santa?" Oblivious;Gars mouth filled with candy
"Heh. No. Family. Traditions. It seemed too good to be true."
"What about now?"
"I'm the girl." She points to a portrait "The one in the painting that has her family. Somewhere safe.. and their unbeatable" she blushes
Gar smiles. "Wouldn't wanna be anywhere else.. By the way.. did you tell anyone about.. last night?"
"No.. to be honest I.. kind of am afraid to even think about it.."
"Why?"
"I don't know.. It's not that I regret it.. but I still don't know.. what our future entails.."
Gar is silent. He understands Rachel. But he is confused what she wants
"Gar! Come try these!" Conner yells from the pretzel bar
Later that evening the titans are enjoying dinner.
"So.. I gotta ask.. how are things going to be after the holiday?" Dick faces everyone with this hard and awkward confrontation
"Well. I basically am a proud flyer now.. of many many tries. Thanks to Superman" Conner chuckles and lifts his glass
"I guess it's collage for me.. I still got a few more years" rachel says with a fake smile and confused intentions
"Well.. Dick and I have news." Kory interrupts with excitement
"We're expecting" Dick says happily
The dropped jaws and gasps filled the room.
"Congrats, Kory!" Gar goes to hug her
Rachel goes to hug Dick then Kory. "I knew it couldn't be your cooking" she jokes
The other all come along to congratulate her. "So let's get it clear I'll definitely be the best uncle" Conner boasts
"Can you transform into their favorite animal? Maybe next time." Gar blurts
"Wait.. Well how am I gonna go back to school now? My niece or nephew is gonna definitely need another girl around." Rachel crosses her arms
"And they'll need us to get a break from you" Tim joked and Rachel playing nudging them
"So.. I guess that means the suburban life is over huh?" Kory looking to dick.
"Was fun while it lasted." Dick shrugged and smiled.
Later that night Gar was watching it's a wonderful life.
Rachel comes to the doorway and sees Him alone. "Your admiration of old flicks will always amuse me"
"Hey. Thought you were asleep." Gar turns down the volume
"Yea.. well. Kinda hard to.. been thinking of how I'm gonna break it to the school I'm leaving to be a superhero again.."
"Rach.. You don't.. you don't have to stop going you know? You'll always be a titan whenever you're ready." Gar supporting her
Rachel snuggling herself in Gar's arms. "I am ready."
They both continued to watch Its a Wonderful life until they fell asleep in anothers arms
