"Gurl mi not even confront him mi just gi him back bun with buff teeth Rowan" I bust out a laugh, Lord have mercy yuh know this girl that I call my best friend need help.

"Brook suppose him nah cheat and yuh just cheat pon the man" if there is one thing I know about this girl is that she nah run off a no man. She is a two-can-play-the-game type of person.

"Zam, a dis mi no like wit yuh innuh you always a underestimate mi. Mi more dan know him a cheat is a whole investigation mi carry out enuh, mi nuh just run off a crumbs mi a mek sure mi get every evidence and then mi mek the file" she not even seem hurt about the fact that he cheated.

Normally girls would be crying to their best friends and be stuck in bed for days, well that's what I did when I found out that my ex cheated.

It did mash up mi meds I didn't even eat for 2 days and even got sick but dat nah happen again mi nah mek no man bring mi down to mi lowest again.

Mi just laugh cause she's not wrong about Rowan's teeth plus his name.

"Mi did only sleep wit him cause him did available at the time and him gift mi tings and know fi treat a woman like dem a queen, but him too soft mi like ruff man."

But watch yah what a way the world backwards because instead of wanting a man that treats you like a queen women normally go for the one that treats us like shit.

I stop talking as I hear a knock on my door.

"Come in" I answer as I sit up straight in the bed.

My dad enters my bedroom turning on the light.

"Good night, Your uncle nuh too long call mi fi tell yuh seh him wah yuh fi go wit him tomorrow to the site that he is going on. It's the same site that is building the youth centre
Good night and love you " and with that said he left the room.

I don't know why my uncle wants me to go to the site with him as I don't normally do that.
I have asked before to go with him and he always said no.

So what causes the sudden change of heart?

"Him a site yuh" brook said pulling mi from deep thought.

"Huh?"

"Yuh uncle him a site yuh dats why him wah yuh fi come," she said answering my unasked thoughts. I filled her in on everything that went down since I started working at dad's hardware.

That would make sense since I was the one who ran to daddy and explained the situation and then daddy spoke to him causing him to take up the offer.
