"Wah him did seh?" Tisha asks as she preps the braiding hair to braid my hair.

"Well Klaus being Klaus him, shame mi, normal thing dat tho" She burst out laughing at my answer.

"Him just seh mi a him woman and mi torment and thing, but mi still nuh like how him answer," I say kissing Jaheem's cheeks.

His cheeks are so chubby and rosy.

"Yuh man nuh easy enuh, a suh man stay still when mi and grabba did just deh the man tell mi seh him rate mi differently than anybody him know, fi him way of saying him love me" She chuckles.

"I guess mi neva had to deal with anyone like Klaus before everyone I dated before you could say was uptown, Klaus's life is so different from mine but in a good way"
I blow kiss Jaheem and he flashes me a toothless grin.

Babies are just so adorable in this stage until they reach the toddler stage which is a complete nightmare. I know first-hand because of babysitting my aunt's baby.

"Yeah him a ghetto youth" we both laugh at her statement.

We are currently sitting on her veranda catching the cool breeze that is blowing in as she preps to braid my hair.

This is so much unlike what I am used to. Since sitting here about 10 different people have passed and they have called to tisha every time.

Living in Norbrook God bless if you even know who your neighbour much less see them and them call to you.

I put Jaheem in his playpen then walk over and sit in the chair in front of Tisha.

She is going to do braided Cornrows to the back with a little style.

As she does my hair we engage in conversations ranging from babies to our men.

She finishes the last cornrow and asks
"Yuh nuh thirsty?"

"No really a wah?" I ask turning my head to look at her.

"Mi a go in fi mi money, mi feel fi a malta mi soon come"

She leaves to go in and I continue to play with a half-woken Jaheem.

"Yuh wah come with me,?" She asks as she pushes Jaheem's stroller through the door.

"Yeah" I put Jaheem in the stroller and push him.

As we make our way through the community to the shop. I scan the area as it looks so much different from when Klaus is driving me here.

Zinc fences line the roadside as fences for houses, you are unable to see into these yards since the fence is extremely tall.

As we continue to walk I spot two women who are further up the road but feel as if they are in front of me because their voices are loud.

Their bleaching is evident as their face and knuckles don't match.

"Mi seh gurl him tek mi to the hotel and bay things him send him money pon mi him even buy mi the new iPhone," one of them says as she shows her friend the iPhone.
