I wash my hands and pat them dry in the towel on the rack before grabbing my toothbrush to brush my teeth.

I still haven't picked up Zambia's gift from my office. I left them there so that she wouldn't find them and I am sure that she will enjoy them because she has been talking about them all the time.

I wash my face thinking of ways how to still be here with Zambia today and take care of the problems that are arising slowly but surely in the camp

If I don't contain them now they will develop into a problem that I may not be able to solve.

As much as how mi just wah leave here suh and go deal wit business mi know if mi left Zambia ago bex and mi caah deal wit har pon mi case now.

I walk into our bedroom to see her sleeping quietly on the bed.

Wonda if mi can mek a quick run go the courthouse and come back?

It is as if she senses mi thoughts because same time she start stir inna the bed.

I decided against leaving the house. Me ago try enjoy today nuh think noting bad can go down inna one day.

Ago call Bulla fi hear how bad the situation is.

I ring his phone twice before he answers sleepily.

"Dwag, mi nuh wake yuh outta yuh sleep dem hours yere unuh boss" he hisses his teeth.

Ignoring his attitude I get straight to the point.
"How bad is the situation?"
"Choppie mi nuh tell yuh seh mi have dat covered it nah get bigger than it is, mi ago out it before it can spread like wildfire."

"Ahh, keep an eye on it."
While I may not be comfortable with the situation there is nothing I can do today, especially with Zambia on my case.

Just ago easy back until tomorrow and pray to God seh she tired so she breeze mi.

I walk into the kitchen and take out the meats to start on our Christmas dinner.

"Good morning" I tip up on my toes to kiss him on the cheek.

"Morning and a wah kinda kiss dat" he wipes his hand in a sheet of paper towel before grabbing me by the waist and pulling me deep into a kiss.
