You sprint through the forest, trying to evacuate the swordsmiths from the village as the mutated fish demons make there moves.

“Over here! This way!” You guide the swordsmiths to the exit of the village, slashing through one of the demon's hands, blocking its other hand with your partly chipped kanata.

You eventually slice the pot on top of the fish-like demon's head as it drops to the ground, crumbling into ashes. You look around the village, everyone seems to evacuate already. You sheathed your katana, making your way to another location in search of any more people or demons.

You eventually spot a big pot-shaped object in front of your way. You approached it carefully, tapping the hilt of your katana. You narrow your eyes, finding someone that was indeed a human.

You didn't hesitate to try your best to help the person trapped inside the pot prison. Judging by your first looks, they looked young. Younger than you a bit. They were holding a kanata, looking like it'll slip out their hand any second.

You attempt to slash at the pot prison, your sword having no effect. It looked and felt like water. This young boy was indeed a slayer. He took a glance at you with a slight, desperate look in his eyes as he look back, continuing to slash at the prison.

The young boy closed his eyes, water bubbling and escaping his mouth. Eventually, after multiple tries and slashing and using breathing techniques, the water prison popped, water pouring onto the ground.

“Sir!” You spoke, lifting part of his body up. You set him down on his stomach, trying to let at least some of the water escape his lungs. “Please wake up..” You muttered under your breath, clenching your handle of your sword. Eventually, your dream did come true as the young boy awakened, quickly coughing out water and gasping for air.

He sat there for a moment, trembling before he quickly rose to his feet. He stumbled a bit as you helped him up. The boy didn't bother asking for your information, only dragging his body over to the demon in the shed.

Not even a minute later, it turned completely foggy. You saw a glimpse of a pot, along with the young boy. You back away, standing beside a tree to watch the fight from afar.

It really didn't look like any fighting was going on, more talking and yelling than physical fighting was going on between the two. It didn't take too long for the demon to crumble to the ground after the mist faded away. You quickly noticed he wasn't any demon slayer, he was a Hashira.

“Are you alright?” You approach the young slayer once more as he gave a slow nod. “Yeah..” He replied, his voice a bit raspy. Your face shifted a bit. “Are.. you sure??” You questioned again as he stumbled backwards, catching himself.

“Ye.. yea—” His words were cut off by the frothing in his mouth. He beganed to gurggle, falling to the ground. With quick reflexes, you catch him in your arms. “S..sir?? Sir!” You shake his body in a panic. You look at his condition with a blink.

He's been poisoned.. You slightly frown, eyeing the ground. The water already dried up, sharp like needles on the ground as well. Some were in the young boy's face. Poor guy.. You rise to your feet, carrying him as he made your way to the entrance of the village.

You glanced at the sky. The sun will be rising soon. Kakushi will arrive too. You sigh, pulling the boy close to your body, making sure he wouldn't get harmed in any way again.

Even though the village was awfully destroyed, you sit beside the destruction with the mist pillar in your arms. His body temperature was awfully high, along with his heart rate. You observed his face for a moment, some type of red mark on his face. It was in the process of fading as well.

The Kakushi arrived later on, quickly taking you and the mist pillar for recovery. Exhausted, you lay on the carrier they have brought. You close your eyes, resting your body.

You awaken in the butterfly mansion, coughing a bit. You take a glance to your left, finding the exact same person you've rescued. He was asleep at the moment. A bit of relief washed over your body, knowing that he was alright.

It was only you and the young slayer in the room at the time. You saw a glimpse of movements in the corner of your eye, looking at the slayer slowly waking up. “Oh.. hello.” You greet him with a friendly smile. He blinked. “Who are you..” He muttered, still with a slight, raspy voice.

“I'm Y/N L/N. I'm the one who saved you from that water pot thingy.” Your smile got a bit wider, proud of yourself at that moment. He paused, trying his best to remember that incident. “Muichiro.. Tokito.” He spoke his name.

“Oh? Is that your name? Well, nice to meet you, Tokito!” You nod. You have more energy than Muichiro at the moment, since you didn't mangle yourself that badly.

“Wanna be friends?” You questioned, Muichiro hesitating for a moment. “Friends..” The mist pillar said to himself, glancing at the floor. That word seemed a bit familiar to him. “What are friends..” Muichiro quietly questioned as you blinked. “You.. don't know what a friend is?” You ask him concerningly.

Muichiro slanted his eyes. “Why would I be asking you if I would know?” He spoke back. You gave a shrug. “Well, a friend is um.. when you uh.. hm..” You seem at a loss for words as you try your best to explain.

Muichiro exhaled, a bit of disappointment showing through that sigh of his. “Nevermind.” He stopped you, a bit annoyed by your voice. “Sure.. I guess.” Muichiro shrugged, blinking at you.

“Oke-doke!” Your smile returned. You and Muichiro began to recover in health, building a stronger bond together as well.

Sure, Muichiro did forget the time where you saved his life, but there was something else he liked about you that made him a bit more clingier.

Your loyalty.
