This chapter will be more fluff than angst :)

As you see your swordsmith walk away under the sunset, you rise to your feet, taking one more look at your brand new sword before sheathing your kanata in its case.

You make your way through the mansion, stopping your legs to think for a moment. Should I give a report to the master? You look behind your shoulder, the Demon Slayer Headquarters wasn't that far. At least Obanai or Kanroji will mention something about the mission. You let go of that first thought, walking into the mansion.

Hopefully, just not my father. You put your hand on the door handle, standing there for a moment. The thought of your father still haunted you till this day. A permanent scar you couldn't see, but you could hide. You try your best to forget about the incident once again, sliding open your door.

As soon as you close your door and your body meets your bed, a knock was heard on your door as you grumbled annoyingly. You try your best to stay calm about it as you practically roll off your bed to open the door.

"Yes..?" You blinked, finding the snake pillar in your face with a gulity-like look in his eyes. "Oh, Obanai." You slightly perk up, honestly happy to see he was alright, even after the bad actions he decided to make. "Hey um.. Y/N. Is it alright for me to call you that?" Obanai whispered to you, even though no one was around at that time. You gave a slight nod to your head, seeing the look of guilt in his face.

"Well, at least you're alive and well." You muttered a bit loudly for Obanai to hear. Surely, you got into a fight with Obanai, but it got overlapped with the recent incident with your mission. Obanai blinked, a bit confused at why you weren't mad about him even being here. Though, he didn't complain.

"How's you're hand doing?" Obanai asked with a hint of concern in his tone, eyeing down at your missing hand. "Oh um. It's alright. The butterfly helpers might be able to replace my missing hand with a fake." You shrug, not certain yet. "I dunno, though." You add on. Your hand was definitely very visible to see from afar. That hand was pretty much wiped off clean.

It has been healing pretty well, so you couldn't really complain about that. You eye Kaburamaru, the minor injuries that were last seen on him have healed quickly around his scales. As you look back at Obanai, which his head was pointed to the ground, you finally remember what you were doing to ask him.

"So, Obanai..? Why are you here?" You question, making him shoot his head up directly at you, his eyes widened for a moment. "Okay, uh.. this might sound weird but.. could we start again? With our relationship, I mean." Obanai stammered over his words a couple times, which was pretty rare to see. Obanai really was nervous.

"Sure." You instantly say, catching the snake pillar off some more, making him slight form a pink colored blush. "Alright." He got himself together, exhaling under his bandaged mask. You didn't mind bringing back your relationship with Obanai, as long as you could forget about your mission.

"So, what now?" Obanai cleared his throat a bit awkwardly. You pushed his chest back a bit, causing him to sit on your bed. "I mean, we do have separate rooms but.. we haven't done this in awhile." You sat down beside him, glancing at his snake. "You might want to take Kaburamaru off." You noted as Obanai slowly and confusingly took the snake snake off from around his neck.

As soon as Obanai placed Kaburamaru down on a flat surface, you play-tackled Obanai down for his back to hit the bed. "Gah- Y/N what are you doing..?" Obanai said a bit panicky, holding his breath as you had one hand on his chest, another on his arm. You look into his dilated, two colored toned eyes deeply, unlikely of you to think of weird actions to do to the snake pillar, you eventually snap out of your weird thoughts.

You quickly unhand Obanai with a dip to your head. "Sorry, I practically lost my mind there." You mutter with a sigh. Obanai caught his breath again, looking at you like you did lose your mind for a second, before you looked up at his face again.

"It's fine.. you just scared me for a second." Obanai shrugged the topic off, getting permission to actually sit and lay down in your bed. You quickly lay beside him, snuggling his arm with a smile. He glanced at your face, relaxing his body. "Y/N.. does this mean we're together?" Obanai whispered as you opened one eye.

"We were from the very start, Obanai." You flick his arm playfully. "Silly snake Hashira." You add on with a tease. Obanai, flustered with slight embarrassment, looked away before speaking up again. "Please, just say serpent." He spoke with a sigh. "Isn't the same thing?" You snort, silencing Obanai with your point.

Obanai clicked his tongue, pulling your body closer towards his for a big cuddle treatment to also silence you. Eventually, it did work with both of you cuddling in silence.

Your hand wasn't the only thing that was healing, it was your relationship with Obanai too. Your incident between your father also slipped past your worries.

All thanks to Obanai Iguro.
