You eat the small pieces of food on your tray you have brought in the butterfly garden, along with some tea to quench your thirst.

You watch the sun slowly set underneath the sunset and white spreaded clouds peacefully. Someone seems to approach you as you glance at their face, quickly noticing the snake pillar was in front of you.

"Oh, hi hun." You give a soft smile as Obanai looks away for a second, then back at you. It was more difficult than he imagined, trying to open his mouth and get the words out. You blink at him, noticing he was struggling with something. "Is everything alright?" You question.

"Y/N, I'm sorry but.. it's over." The snake pillar lowered his head, along with his voice. His tone was strict as well, showing lack of empathy. You tilt your head at him. "What do you mean?" You sit up straight, looking at him dead in the eyes. "Tell me."

"I'm breaking up with you." Obanai cleared his throat as you paused, looking at him like he has definitely lost his mind. "What? No." Your in denial for a second, not believing him. The snake pillar backed away. "Obanai.. you.. aren't serious, right?" Your smile dropped, narrowing your eyes as your face showed the expression of confusion.

He gave a shake to his head, showing absolute certainty with this reply. You stiffen up. "Why? What have I done to you?" Your voice wavers as you set down your cup of tea. "Please.. don't do this." You shake your head, rising to your feet as he silently left. "Obanai!" You yell his name as he ignored you.

You sit back down, pulling your legs up to your face, lowering your head as you let out quiet sobs under your breath.
"L/N?" You heard your last name being spoken. You lift your head, tears rolling down your face in the process. You found Sanemi standing infront of you. You quickly wipe your eyes. "Yeah?"

"Why the hell are you crying?" Sanemi asked rather quite rudely. You sniffle, shaking your head. "I'm not." You muttered, Sanemi narrowing his eyes. "Yeah, well, your face says something different." The wind pillar looked at you up and down.

"For real, L/N. What just happened." Sanemi leaned against the porch side, waiting for your answer. You hesitated, eventually deicing to tell him the truth about your break up. "According to Obanai, um.. our relationship is over." You lower your voice, Sanemi pausing.

"Really now? Why?" Sanemi questioned, a bit irritated himself about this problem. You gave a shrug, continuing your quiet sobs. "I don't know.. he never told me.." You cover your face as Sanemi huffed. "What a shithead." Sanemi shook his head disappointedly, though the snake pillar was his friend, he was awfully furious with him at that moment.

Sanemi patted your shoulder. "Just... forget about it. And stop crying.. it's annoying." Sanemi muttered the last words under his breath as you gave a slow nod. Sanemi tried his best to comfort you, what were the odds of that happening? You were going through a few stages of heartbreak, though.

Several of weeks went by as you slowly forget about the incident and start to grow a bond with Sanemi. Honestly, he's a really great guy, you just have to get used to him. Sanemi has been really overprotective over you the past days, maybe over doing it to the fact people can't even speak with you.

You sit with the wind pillar, chatting about your favorite things or hobbies you both try to find in common. "You like dogs?" You blink as he gave a nod. "Same! What type of breed?" You questioned, getting a bit hyped up. Sanemi shrugged. "All of them?" He replied as you chuckled a bit. "Same here!"

"I never knew we had so many things in common!" You say, looking at the blue sky as the clouds slowly push across. "Mhm." Sanemi replied, glancing at the shadow on the ground. You look at the wind pillar, then at the same place he was staring at. He narrowed his eyes, looking up as he saw a glimpse of a white haori.

"Everything alright?" You ask him as he rose to his feet. He grunted, turning the corner as he found the snake pillar. "Iguro." Sanemi spoke, tapping his foot against the ground. "What do you want?" The wind pillar questioned, quite protective. The shorter Hashira blinked at Sanemi. "Could I speak with Y/N-"

"No." Sanemi huffed, cutting Obanai off. "You know what you did. It's unforgivable anyway." Sanemi looked at the snake pillar dead in the eyes, even Karabumaru a bit intimidated by the bigger man. "I came here to apologize to her." Obanai took a breath, stepping forwards. "Well, too late. Shoo." Sanemi waved his hand against the air, trying to make Obanai leave.

You rise to your feet, noticing Sanemi was gone for a while. You turn the corner, finding the snake pillar and wind pillar arguing a bit. You pause, standing beside Sanemi, giving a disgusted look at Obanai. "Obanai?" You blink as he froze. "Y/N I-" The snake pillar stopped his words as Sanemi shot a glare at him. Karabumaru slightly hissed at the wind pillar, showing his fangs.

"It's alright, Sanemi." You mutter to Sanemi, giving him a nod. He let out a grumble, letting you walk towards Obanai as he kept a close eye on him. "What do you want." You ask him in a rather hostile tone of voice.

"Y/N. I'm sorry for everything that happened between us that day. It was my fault, I regret my actions." Obanai lowered his voice, dipping his head sorrowfully. "It's L/N to you. And don't give me that stuff." You squint. "You don't mean it. I can see and hear it."

"I do, Y- L/N.. please, give me one more chance. I'll make it up to you, okay? Anything you want." Obanai shook his head, as you huffed. "Really. After all of that, you're trying to bribe me?"

Obanai stood quiet, noticing his words weren't enough to change your mind. "Besides, it's too late anyways. I'm dating Sanemi." You take a step back from the snake pillar as he paused. "L/N.." He spoke as he ignored him a bit. "Have a nice life, Iguro." You walk off, trying the shake off that irritation. Sanemi followed you as well, keeping his mouth shut.

Even if Obanai was embarrassed out of his mind and his heart was shattered that day, he still has a chance to get with Mitsuri the second time.

What if Obanai was rejected by Mitsuri?—
For real embarrassment right there.

Have an amazing day!
