A/N: this is the last chapter of this book, the sequel should be published in about 2 weeks.

*Also should I in the sequel make Stefan or Alex Bardwell (my oc), Ana's love interest? If I make Stefan Ana's love interest than Caroline will end up with Alex, but if I go with Alex then there will be Steroline in the sequel.

**And who should be Josie and Lizzie's mom? Ana or Caroline? Or should I like make them both pregnant so Caroline is pregnant with Lizzie and Ana with Josie?

***Also I was thinking of Ana maybe having triplets instead of twins. So what is better triplets or twins?

Alaric, Jeremy, Elena and I were are eating lunch together. Jenna spent the entire morning with the four of us but unfortunately she had to go to work, considering she works at our high school as a psychologist she had to be there for preparations about today's high school graduation

"Mm. Oh, my god." Alaric says through a full mouth, he has really missed food while being on the Other Side. Elena and I exchanged amused looks as we laughed as Alaric stuffed his face into the food, thou Jeremy wasn't much better.

"No grease on the Other Side, huh?" Elena giggles.

"You have no idea how much I've missed this." Alaric then holds up a bottle of bourbon. "And this." Elena takes the bottle from Ric's hands.

"No, hey. Hey!" Ric protests but Elena takes a swig from the bottle.

"She just got her humanity back. Let her live a little." Jeremy says and reaches for the bottle but Elena holds it away from him.

"Not happening." I tell him referring to him drinking.

"I'm dead - what are they gonna do, throw me in juvie?" Jer scoffs.

"Well, at least you'd have a place to live." Ric jokes, I look at him amused while Elena smiling starts throwing food at them.

"You both suck!" Elena tells them.

"Hey! Now there it is - that smile. I wasn't sure we were gonna see that again." Ric says and Elena is still smiling but sadder now, her eyes are glistening.

"I did some pretty terrible things." Elena says.

"Hey, no. No tears. If Caroline was right, we only have until tonight. We need a no-crying rule." Jeremy says.

"But the crying's good. It means that I'm finally feeling something, and right now I... I feel happy." Elena's phone starts ringing. She takes it out and looks at it. "It's the Grill - it must be Matt." Elena tells us and answers it. "Hey, you went AWOL this morning - what happened?" Elena says and whatever the person on the other side said made Elena look shocked. " I don't know where they are, so I guess I can't help you." Elena says after awhile.

I look at Alaric for an explanation on who is Elena talking to, considering he can hear the entire conversation with his super hearing. After telling me quickly in a whisper that it's Connor who Elena is talking to. He motions to us that he's going to do something.

"Please, don't hurt anyone. I'll find Silas and I'll get the cure." Elena tells to Connor over the phone.

After Alaric called to tell us he took care of Connor we made our way to the boarding house. Jeremy and I stayed downstairs while Elena went upstairs to talk to Damon. After awhile Jer and I made our way upstairs to them. As we approached Damon's room I overheard the conversation between Damon and Elena about the cure.
