Addie - Age - 2

Peta was laying on her and Maks's bed with Addie tucked into her body. She was on her 3rd ear infection of the year and was fighting a stomach flu as well. Needless to say she was a mess. She only wanted her parents and she didn't have the energy to do much and when she did it was for a very short span. So for the moment Peta was snuggling her daughter as she finally napped while Maks was making alphabet soup in the kitchen.

"She asleep?" Maks whispered as he appeared in the doorway to check on the two.

"Finally..........I hate this for her." Peta responded as Addie shivered in her sleep and Peta pulled her in closer and wrapped the blanket around her.

"I agree. I hope we get past this soon. And that answers my question about her fever if she's still shivering." He sighed. They had been fighting her fever not only with the flu but with her ear infection as well. So they had to keep her under close supervision so that they didn't hit a danger zone.

"Yeah, it's still up there it seems. She doesn't feel as hot as before but she's still hot."

"Alright, I'm going to finish the soup. I just wanted to check on you two. You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm going to close my eyes for a little bit while she's out. You okay cooking handsome?"

"I am, rest pretty girl. I'm sure we have another long night ahead of us." He leaned down and kissed her before pressing a kiss to Addie's head as well. He headed out and Peta closed her eyes and drifted off slowly next to Addie. She was woke up a bit later to Addie's yelp.

"Momma, Momma, I be sick." She said frantically. Peta jolted awake and went to scoop Addie up but was too late and they never even made it off the bed.

"Oh baby." Peta said as Addie burst into tears. She knew she couldn't do this one alone cause now not only was she covered but so was Addie and their bedding. "Maks!"

"Yeah?" He said appearing in the doorway. "Oh."

"Can you help?" She said helplessly.

"Yeah, what do you want me to do?" He said as he began to pull the sheets from the bed.

"I'm just going to take her to shower and clean us both up. Maybe the shower will help her. Will you do the bed and sheets? And grab me a set of pajamas for her?"

"Of course, I'll the the pjs on the counter."

"Oh and I'm pretty sure B-U-N-N-Y got hit in that mess, can you get him done quick?" She said knowing her daughter was going to have a meltdown over that one. He nodded and scooped the animal and blanket into the pile. Thankfully they had a back up blanket but not so much for the bunny.

"Got it."

"Come on baby, Momma is going to get you cleaned up and in new jammies." Peta said as she carried Addie into the bathroom. She got them both in the shower and cleaned off. Then she got them both dressed again and headed to find Maks. She smiled when she saw the bed was already made with new sheets and blankets. She saw Addie's spare blanket and grabbed it.

"Papa?" She asked as she looked around the room.

"We'll go find him. He made you some soup to make you feel better."

"No eat. Yucky momma." Addie said burying into Peta.

"I know you feel yucky baby but we have to try something okay? Just a little bit." She said as she rubbed her back. They entered the kitchen and found Maks dumping the alphabet noodles into the collander.
