Hope you enjoy. I'll actually update soon.

I am an addict

with a broken mind

share with me your stories

and I'll share with you mine

he told me a story

of a young boy raised bad

through empty beer bottles

in the fists of hid dad

she told me a story

of a silly little girl

who's curiosity to just try

ruined her whole world

he fell to a bottle

once it ruined his life

but much worse than a bottle

he fell to a knife

she held the small bundle

up close to her lips

and when she would light it up

she swore it felt like a kiss

he told me of his scars

even showed me a few

and I whispered to him slowly

"they show the real you"

she told me of a love

she lost to this sickness

and I told her so sweetly

"every person has a weakness"

I am much less an addict

than the stories I have told

I hold only a pen

and I broke my own soul

and now you may ask

"what about you? what's your story"

well my addiction, dear friend

are these very damn stories

now tell me one last time

call it a final wish

tell me all the stories

that I may have missed

never feed your addiction

never let it consume you

I have made that mistake

and I don't want it for you

I am merely an addict

with only a broken mind

share with me your stories

and I'll share with you mine
