Chapter 8

POV : Brennan

I woke up around 8 and decided I wanted to go for a swim. I brushed my teeth, combed my hair, and put on my bathing suit. I took a room key and started to walk down the hall to Annie's room.

knock knock knock

Annie opened the door.

"Want to go to the pool?" I asked.

"Yeah! just let me get my swimsuit on." she smiled. "Come in." she motioned.

I walked in and Annie ran into the bathroom. I saw Hayley on a bed and plopped down beside her.

"Hey, Hay Hay." I chuckled.

"hey Brennan." she smiled.

"Whatcha doing?" I asked.

"Thinking about Caleb." she whispered.

I hugged her. "I think we all miss him" I whispered.

"Anyways, I don't like to be sad so come here." she chuckled.

"okay." I smiled.

she cupped her hand around my ear and whispered something.

"Why don't you and Annie date?" she said.

I laughed, looked her in the eyes, and said, "Listen Hayley, Annie is my best friend and I don't think I would want to ruin that. Now, I'm going to tell you a secret that no one else on the planet knows. I really like Annie. But I don't know if she feels the same way about me."

she gasped and said, "I promise not to tell anyone."

"that's my Hayley." I laughed.

And then Annie came out of the bathroom wearing a coral swimsuit.

"You ready?" she asked.

"Of course." I said.

I grabbed my phone and the room key off of the bed and started walking with annie towards the pool.

*at the pool*

"wanna race?" I asked her.

"you are going to win. you do water polo!!" she said.

"oh yeah, sorr..."

"HEY look at that eagle!!" she screamed.

"oh where" I said turning around.

"ya snooze ya loose." I heard her say as she jumped in the water.

"hey!" I laughed as I dove in.

she was about five feet ahead of me so I tried as hard as I could so speed ahead of her, but she was faster than usual!!

as I touched the wall and went up for air I heard her say, "beat ya!" and laugh.

"now that, that was not fair." I laughed.

"your too gullible." she smiled

"am not!"

"are too!"

"hey look, there's Sydney!!" I said with excitement.

"where!!" she screamed.

after about five seconds she turned back around to see me dying of laughter.

"I'm not the only gullible one here, am I?" I laughed.

"hey, you admitted it! your gullible!!" she laughed.

"whatever" i said going back underwater.

she pulled me back up.

"hey what was that for?" I asked.

"let's play a game." she smiled widely.

"okay, like what?"

"okay umm how about you go underwater, say a phrase, and I try and figure out what you said!"

"okay" I replied.

I went underwater and said, "bratayley makes the best videos!" and came back up.

"broccoli makes the mosquito??" she laughed.

I bursted out laughing. "no!" I said.

"okay I'm bad at this game what was it?" she chuckled.

"bratayley makes the best videos!!" I laughed.

"ohhhhhh" she said smiling.
