(This is a bonus chapter) Nobody's POV
"Hey guys, you need to get ready for school." Donald orders walking into the lab.
"School, right. Come on guys." Chase yawns stepping out of his capsule, already dressed in his school clothes.
"I was having a great dream. Zach from my chemistry class was there and we in Paris. It was magical." Bree sighs following after Chase.
"I was having a great dream too. Me and pet monkey Bobo went to a theme park and ate candy floss on all of the rollercoasters." Adam chuckles, making everyone give him a strange look. "What? Mia would think it's cool." He mutters as he ties up his shoes.
"Speaking of, can one of you guys wake her up? She sleeps like a log." Donald says.
"I'm on it." Chase says walking over to her capsule. He taps on the door of the capsule, but Mia doesn't even flinch.
"She's not waking up." Chase says turning back to the rest of his family.
"Thats because you have to do it with more force. I'll show you." Adam explains walking over to Mia's capsule. "Wake up!" He shouts opening the door and screaming in Mia's face, but receiving no response.
"Close her capsule, I'll scan her vitals." Donald says.
Chase closes the capsule door and he and Adam walk back over to Bree as Donald scans Mia's vitals.
"This is not good." Donald mutters.
"What is it?" Bree asks.
"She's burning up. It must be from some kind of virus. Thats gonna lead to sickness, headaches, not to mention her body temperature will be extremely high. Plus, she's gonna glitch." Donald explains.
"So just make her better." Adam says.
"I can't just make her better. Someone needs to take care of her." Donald explains.
"Well I did it last time." Bree says.
"When was this?" Chase asks.
"Remember on Mia's 12th birthday?" Bree asks.
"Ugh, it was the week of green floors." Adam groans.
"Yeah, and now its your problem. See ya." Bree says before super speeding out of the room.
"I guess I'll look after her." Adam groans.
"Knowing you, you'll give her something and make her worse. I'll stay and take care of her too." Chase says.
"Thanks guys. I'll be back at about three after I get Bree and Leo from school. I owe you one." Donald says grabbing his briefcase and walking out of the lab, leaving Adam and Chase with their sick little sister.
"Ok Chase you wake Mia, I'll call the vet." Adam orders beginning to walk out of the room, only to get held back by Chase.
"She's not a dog Adam. Mr Davenport must have files on his database on how to take care of each of us. Surely he has something about Mia." Chase explains walking over to one of the consoles.
"Chase, Mia doesn't need any of that science rubbish. All she needs is some chicken noodle soup and some laughter." Adam says.
"Adam, thats ridiculous." Chase chuckles.
"Is not!" Adam snaps.
"Is too!" Chase shouts back.
"Quit shouting!" Mia groans stepping out of her capsule.
"Mia, your awake." Chase says.
"I had no clue." Mia says, sarcasm evident in her raspy voice.
"Well, how do you feel?" Adam asks.
"I-I feel a sneeze coming on." Mia splutters.
"Take cover!" Chase shouts ducking behind one of the consoles with Adam.
Mia sneezes and as she does, a ball of fire shoots across the room.
"She got a new ability? So unfair." Adam whines getting up from under the console.
"No. It's a glitch. This is what Mr Davenport told us about." Chase explains.
"You don't want to see what happens when I cough." Mia groans rubbing her neck and slumping up against the console.
"Chase, what do we do?" Adam asks turning to his little brother.
"Mia, do you feel like your gonna throw up?" Chase asks, cautiously walking towards his little sister.
"Don't worry Chase. I'm calm, cool and coll-never mind." Mia gulps before running into the bathroom next door, the sound of vomiting being heard seconds later.
"Come on Adam." Chase groans walking into the bathroom after his sick sister.
This was gonna be a long day.
"Thats it! I'm done! Chase she's your problem!" Adam shouts storming out of the lab.
"Adam come back! Well this is just great!" Chase groans.
"Chase! I feel sick!" Mia whines hobbling over to her older brother.
"Uh-here have some medicine." Chase says grabbing a small green bottle from the cabinet.
"But Chase, I don't like that stuff. It makes-." Mia rasps.
"Just have it!" Chase snaps handing Mia the bottle, the tone of his voice shocking her. She quickly drinks the contents of the bottle, the panicked expression on Chase's face scaring her.
"Do you feel any better?" Chase asks, a slither of hope in his weak voice.
"No. What I was trying to tell you is, this medicine makes me- get down!" Mia gasps coughing a huge shard of ice straight at Chase, knocking him to the floor. "Cough." She groans rubbing her sore throat.
"I can't do this! This is insane! I can't deal with this! Chase Davenport does not deal with this kind of stress!" Chase squeals, his last bit of self control snapping. His reaction sends Mia into a fit of laughter, almost causing her weak knees to buckle from underneath her.
"What's so funny?" Chase asks.
"You totally scream like a girl." Mia chuckles before bursting into another coughing fit, almost knocking Chase down once again.
"Hey guys. How are you feeling Mia?" Bree asks as she and Leo walk into the lab, their school bags stuffed with books.
"Yes! Your back! Thank you! Thank you Bree!" Chase gasps running up to his older sister, practically praying at her feet.
"What's up with him?" Leo asks pointing to the begging Chase by his feet.
"Mia's your problem now! Sayonara!" Chase shouts before skipping, yes skipping, out of the lab.
"So Mia, how was your day?" Bree asks walking over to her little sister.
"It was 'sick'." Mia says, smirking at her own bad pun.
"Oh god no!" Leo chuckles.
Let's just say, Chase always avoided Mia during flu season from then on.
