"The kids are really growing up now."

Sabi ni Lucy as they went out of the garden.

"Exactly. At least nga at bata bata pa yang si Lancelot. Eh si Diadem? I almost had highblood when she told me she wanted to study in Royal City alone."

Napangiti na lang si Emy sa mga kaibigan niya. Then she started thinking.

Would her son give her this kind of adulting trouble too kung saka sakali? He was almost at the age of Diadem. She wonders if he is also making his own decision now.

Napuna naman nila Lucy at Diana ang ngiti ng kaibigan. They knew Emy for too long. They are sure na iniisip nito ang anak niya. Well, Emy always thinks about her son.

"Kung ako kasi sayo, pinupuntahan ko na siya. Hanggang kelan mo titiisin ang anak mo." Diana said.

Doon naman napabalik sa hinaharap si Emy. Then she shook her head.

"I'll probably die without seeing him."

"At okay lang yun sayo?" Lucy asked.

"Of course not. But you know, some things are really not meant to happen. No matter how much one yearn for it."

"Yes. But surely, that is not you and your son." That was Haow. Mukhang nasaktuhan nito ang pinag-uusapan nila ng makasunod ito sa kanila.

Agad namang tumango ang dalawang babae.

Emy sighed.

"He probably hates me anyway."

"And there she goes getting cold feet again when it comes to her son. Samantalang kapag kalaban ang kaharap niya, halos walang ngimi kung makatarak ng espada sa mga ito." Diana rolled her eyes.

"O baka naman kasi hindi naman talaga ang anak niya ang kinatatakutan niyang makita? She is maybe afraid to realize na hanggang ngayon, she still has feelings for Sebastian." Lucy said.

Agad naman siyang hinampas ni Diana sa braso.

Ever since they escaped, halos taboo topic na si Sebastian sa pagitan nila. Hindi naman nagrereact noon kapag nababanggit ang lalaki. But it was making the atmosphere around them too awkward.

However, Emy just chuckled.

Emy just shook her head saka siya naupo sa tabi ni Diana.

"Speaking of visiting, I am planning to go and see Alessandra. Do you want to go with me?"

Pagkabanggit ni Emy sa isa pa nilang kaibigan ay agad na nawala ang mga ngiti sa labi nila. Napalitan iyon ng lungkot.

Alessandra just recently passed away. She was a braved and strong woman. Pero hindi siya sa labanan namatay. She caught an illness.

Ilang taon din siyang pinahirapan ng sakit niya, hanggang isang araw, she didn't wake up anymore.

Emy reached for Haow's hand as she saw the pain his eyes.

They got married, you know. Haow and Alessandra. She was very happy because of it.

Hindi niya ba naman sinukuan ang binata. Even in his second life, she loved him unconditionally.

But who would have thought na hindi rin pala siya magtatagal because of her illness? Bukod pa doon, hindi rin sila nagkaanak because of it.
