Yuusha Country Arc Chapter 15: War Manipulator: Einosuke!

A few days have passed since Hiromistu won his fight against Hiroto. Due to his failure of beating Hiromitsu, he told his men to stand down and to accept defeat. He hated every moment of it, but knew that he lost the fight fair and square. 

During the few days of rest, both Hiromitsu and Kenzou bonded as they realised they both share the same ideal. That they both want the world to be at peace and for there to be no hate between Demons and Humans.

"Hahaha! It seems like we were fated to cross paths, Kenzou." laughed Hiromitsu.

"That's right! Thanks for stopping that attack from Hiromitsu. It would have been game over if you didn't step in." thanked Kenzou.

They carried on discussing further about the future and trying to make a solid path for both races. However, there was one thorn in the path that had yet to be taken out. That thorn was the traitor that offered Hiroto power.

"Do you have any clues as to who it is?" asked Kenzou.

"From my own deductions, I can tell that the one who has betrayed me is a high ranking officer," told Hiromitsu.

"Is there someone who you think it could be?" questioned Kenzou.

Hiromitsu was a bit reluctant to speak on the matter as he had a good idea of who the traitor is.

"I think it is my second in command that goes by the name Einosuke." began Hiromitsu.

"What?!" gasped Kenzou.

"Ever since I appointed him, I could tell that there was something off with him. I wanted to keep a close eye on him, but I could never find the right information to trip him up. However, this is the chance that I've been waiting for, but it will also be the chance he's waiting for too." explained Hiromitsu.

"What do you mean?" quizzed Kenzou.

"Everything we have just fought for may come to nill tonight, Kenzou. We need to be on our toes," warned Hiromitsu.

Later that day, a gathering was taking place to formally announce the partnership between Demons and Humans. 

Just as the rally for the new partnership was about to take place, the war manipulator decided to make his presence known. 

"Yggdrasil: Root Sap!" called Einosuke.

All of a sudden, all of the people in the crowd fell to the ground. The power 'Root Sap' plants a seed of demon power into the enemy and forces all of their life force away. In other words, it kills the person almost instantly.

The only way to fight against this power is to have a strong will to survive and to feel no fear of the user. Since no normal person was truly expecting this, they all died on the spot.

However, there was only one person in this entire vicinity that could defend or reverse the attack, and that was...Hiromitsu.

"Cherry Blossom: Sakura Revive!"

The move 'Sakura Revive' works by placing a cherry blossom petal on the user that has passed and drags their soul back into the body. This move only works as long as the soul is still lingering around. This move also reduces the life force of the user. 

"You are actually using some of that extended life force that you stockpiled, my Lord," Einosuke observed.

"EINOSUKE!!!!!!!" shouted Hiromitsu.

"I can hear you loud and clear, my Lord," smirked Einosuke.
