Chapter 17: Amour

"Daryl...." She starts to speak as his hands lay on her ass and he pulls her close to his growing erection. Placing a kiss on her lips, he stops her conversation to a halt as she closes her eyes out of lust and a tad bit of temptation. When he pulls away, her eyes, full of lust and a small amount of love land on his.

"Let's make a baby." He says with a deep voice that tickles her ears and makes goosebumps appear. If this is the only way he can be close to her, he'll use the excuse rather than stew all vacation. Why not make his move? He's in the city of romance right now!

Before she can go to answer, he starts kissing her again and backs up to the bed, where he over estimates and it takes him out at the knees, which makes him fall to the bed with Beth close in his arms. They laugh it off and he keeps kissing her passionately, but Beth feels it's only to make a baby and a score for him. Whether or not he really loves her or just wishes to appease her with a child, Beth doesn't question the strict nature of his tongue fighting hers.

Straddling him, she pulls from his lips and begins to unbutton his dress shirt. Sitting back up at an angle like a sit up, he unzips her dress and after she gets his shorts off, he pulls her dress over her head and tosses it to the floor with his shirt. His lips never leave her body as she unbuckles his belt and slowly slides against his throbbing cock. She moans as he unclips her bra and suckles her breasts. When his pants are undone, Beth stands up on the bed and he slides his pants off and then starts pulling her panties off. Pulling her down to the bed, she flicks her shoes off and starts kissing him again as she holds the sides of his face. He slid his boxers off with pants, socks and shoes and now he scoots up the bed while never leaving her lips.

As they start to pulsate in their touches, Daryl gently slides into her, finding her ready and tight around his aching manhood. He slowly starts pumping and kissing her, but she's losing it. Her mind skips back to the baby and then Julie and she can barely stand herself. He starts to notice a few tears in her eyes and he stops thrusting inside her, but she keeps up a slow grind.

"What's wrong? Beth? Am I hurting you?" He tries to look at her, but her blonde curls fall around her face and he hears her crying.

"No... let's just keep going...."

"Honey, no...stop..." He pulls out of her and she cries even harder.

"I'm sorry...I am so sorry..."

"Baby, you did nothing wrong..."

"I lost it....I lost the baby..." Sighing, he pull the throw over them and he just rubs her back, trying to console.

"Beth, we're not gonna try tonight."

"No...noo...Daryl please..." She cries as if she's a child and someone is leaving her for the first time.

"Beth, you need to be positive and relax if you wanna make a baby...so we're not trying tonight cause it's still fresh pain...We're gonna just hold each other like this all night cause we need to stay positive if we're gonna have a baby." She doesn't catch any of the we's or we're's when he speaks to her. He just covers them both up with the blanket and he holds her close, occasionally kissing her head or brushing his hand through her hair. He feels bad that this has happened again. He should've figured it would've, but he accepts it as a learning experience and keeps ahold of her.

After a few minutes Beth calms down and Daryl is now just playing with his fingers on her skin. Tracing letters or shapes or nonsense, he keeps it up and soon sees a small smile cross her face and she looks up at him.

"Are we really gonna stay like this all night?" Her voice is kind of scratchy from crying, but it still has the sweetness and sarcasm in it that is Beth Greene.

"That's what I said...Beth, I know what happened was terrible for you to experience alone, but you need to let it go the best you can. If you want a baby, you need to be positive and see the beauty in what we want to accomplish." She catches it that time.

"You said we...."

"Yeah as in if you want to get pregnant and you want me to do that for you. I'm not attached remember?"

"You've been really sweet on me lately..."

"Well...you went through some rough patches...I'm just trying to get ya back to how you were."

"What if I wanna stay who I am an not who I was?"

"Who do you think you are now?" He honestly asks her in confusion. Lifting her head, she rests her chin on the bak of her hand on his chest and looks at him with big blue eyes.

"I think...I think we both have changed actually."

"And how is that?"

"Well for one, you aren't so much of an asshole as you were. You are more considerate and sweet...and you haven't brought so many women home lately." She snickers and he rolls hi eyes.

"I haven't lost my game if that's what yer implying....how have you changed?"

"Well...fer one I don't think I've cried so much til now. I think I give more people attitude...I think I've become you in a way."

"Haha or have you always been me and I've always been you and you think yer you but really I'm you an yer me and we are each other but not each other and there for I am me and you are you."

"Wow now...you just confused me so much that I'm not sure what we were really talking about." He did that for a reason. He doesn't want her to think he loves her, even though he does. He doesn't want her to see him as just another Joe on the street.

"Well dumby, I could repeat myself but I'm not a broken record...and I can't fully remember. Haha"

"See there you go again. Yer very sweet one moment and then the clock strikes midnight and you turn back into an asshole. Is that why Julie dumped you?" She sits up and looks down at him.

"No actually it's not." He sits up also, kicking her off his lap and onto the bed. Getting up, he goes to the closet and starts putting on some clothes and she's confused. "She dumped me cause of yer stupid song and yer t-shirts. Let alone yer speech."

Going to the door, Beth pulls on a rob that was hung up in the closet and follows him.

"Where are you going?" Pointing to the clock, it's midnight and he starts walking down the hallway.

"It's the stroke of midnight." He says with a firm angry voice and flips her off as he gets in the elevator.

Shutting the door she falls to the ground and sits in a stooped position. Upset with herself, she knows if he heard the song an saw the shirt, he also heard her speech. She begins to cry and regrets ever opening her mouth. She should've just laid there until he fell asleep. She loved being close to him and him holding her, but she's an idiot
