Shayla could feel that Aric was around. Her heart was doing somersaults. Her brain wasn't functioning normally anymore. Goosebumps were on their way to appear on her skin. Her stomach was flipping and her palms were tickling. And she knew her body reacted like this only when Aric was near.

But, she couldn't see him.

Where in the world is he hiding? She spoke to herself.

She turned around to face the entry of the garden, from where she came. Her eyes were glued on the large black doors. She anticipated him to take an entry from that spot.

Shayla waited for a minute which seemed like an hour to her. Waiting wasn't helping as she grew more nervous. She pulled out her mobile to call Aric when suddenly she felt something, she felt someone. She quickly looked up from her mobile and inhaled loudly. She felt him behind her. Her hands shivered a bit and she slowly turned around to face the stage.

Aric opened and closed his fist several times. He felt exactly the same as what he felt when he was standing behind the curtain to perform at his concert. He still remembered how he felt like someone was waiting for him outside. That time it was Shayla waiting for him and this time too it was Shayla. The only difference was that last time he didn't know but this time he knew. Aric came out from the dark corner of the stage. He looked no different than Shayla in reference to expressions. Nervousness was plastered all over his face, but at the same time, his gait radiated confidence. He was wearing a simple white t-shirt with his favorite black jeans.

Shayla's breaths became loud. She knew this night was going to be the most important night of her life.

Aric took long yet slow steps as his eyes were on Shayla. He stopped at the exact same spot where he was the last time when he saw Shayla.

He inhaled and exhaled. His chest rose and fell. And then he smiled at Shayla, which made her already shivering knees go weak.

"I... Shayla... Hii..." Aric spoke shakily and somewhat nervously with a weak smile and then chuckled lightly at his loss of words.

Shayla, too, chuckled lightly and breathed out, "Hi."

"You know me. You understand me. I know you have already guessed why we are here," Aric spoke as he looked around.

Shayla smiled lightly and nodded as she looked around too and it bought back the concert memories, once again, in both Shayla and Aric's mind.

"Shayla, you know me, but you know the new Aric, not the old one. I was never like this...the way I'm with you... I was never like this. When I met you I already had a girlfriend...but I wasn't in love in a true sense. I saw you here for the very first time. This is the place where everything began. This is the place where our story began. And I never ever in my wildest dreams imagined that one day we would be standing here and I would...and I would sing...I would perform...only for you."

Shayla's eyes widened. She wanted to speak but it seemed that somebody sucked out all the words from her brain.

"I have so much to say and I don't think that a long speech would be enough. Maybe this song will do justice in expressing my feelings...for you."

Aric drew another deep breath and pulled a mic from behind his jeans. And then he sang the song which he started writing for Shayla when he went to Baskville with her.
