"Really? After months she decided to retaliate back?" Leslie spoke incredulously.

It doesn't make sense," Trivil spoke dubiously

"That old hag..." Respina muttered annoyingly.

"And retaliate what exactly? Is she brainless? What did she expect us to do? To let her druggy son shoot us?" Leslie spoke outrageously.

"Now I know why Elliema and Kalier are such a pain in the ass. Got it from their wonderful mother," Respina mumbled as her lips curled in the utter annoyance in which she was dwelling since morning.

"God! My head would burst now. Never-ending troubles! Just when I thought everything is fine, another drama knocked on our faces," Leslie spoke and huffed loudly as she drowned back on her chair.

"Welcome to my world," Shayla spoke quietly.

"I talked to Dane since Aric wasn't picking up my call. He said they might visit Mrs. Vitina," Trivil told the girls and sipped his cold coffee.

"That poop-head Vitina. I know she is elder but please expect no respect from me for her," Respina muttered to herself, again.

"What do you think, Shayla?" Leslie asked as she moved forward on her chair.

"You talked to Aric?" Trivil asked as he kept his elbows on the table.

The three of them looked at Shayla who was sitting with a sick, green face.

"Oh my god, you alright? Are you about to puke?" Leslie asked worriedly.

"OMG! ARE YOU PREGNANT??!" Respina yelled alarmingly.

Shayla's eyes widened instantly and she, with great difficulty, pushed the food down her food pipe which was in her mouth.

"Res!" Shayla shook her head in disbelief and continued, "There were carrots in this fried rice."

"AHA! So you hate boiled vegetables too! Just like Aric! Still, you make him eat! I'm gonna tell him, girl," Trivil spoke as he flashed his teeth.

"He hates green boiled veggies and I hate boiled or cooked carrots. There is a difference," Shayla said as she drank the cold water to get rid of the unwanted cooked carrot taste.

The rain was pounding against the windows of the big cafe in which the four friends were having their breakfast and discussing the piece of information which Dane provided them. A dark blue car stood outside the cafe in which four of them arrived. It was Leslie's.

Shayla was vexed. She was irritated and was snapping at every second person she came across since this morning. Also, the grey clouds and continuous pouring from the sky weren't helping. It was dulling her mood further. She felt as if someone has burst her happy bubble with a pin. When Dane called her this morning and told her about Mrs. Vitina, it spoiled her mood. Aric wasn't picking up her calls. He just sent her a text which said he'll meet her at the gym at their usual time. Vitina's unanticipated future moves and not being able to talk to Aric was elevating her annoyance.

"I think you should call Elliema," Basil spoke thoughtfully.

"I haven't talked to her since I was discharged from the hospital...after I was shot..." Aric spoke and the boys grunted a 'yeah.'

"It's not a hidden fact that what a cunning woman Mrs. Vitina is...Cunning is not the right word. I don't even have the right words to do justice to her personality," Dane spoke as he scrunched his forehead.

"A perfect vamp," Basil spoke.

"She plays dirty," Dane stated.

"Very dirty," Aric corrected Dane.
