"Dylan! Katja! Dinner's ready!" I yelled to my kids upstairs.

"Smells good honey" my husband Dallas says as he walked up to me, giving me a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks. Guys get down here" I said again. "Kids, your mother cooked dinner. Come down please"

The two kids came down and we sat down and ate. We're a very talkative family. We always have something to talk about.

"And the Jason hit the door, and it almost came off!" My 15 year old son Dylan says. Telling a story about what happened in school today.

"Kat. What about you? Anything interesting?" I asked her. "Umm mom?" She says nervously. Why? I don't know. She's never hesitant when she talks to us.

"Yeah?" I said. "I have something to say to all of you" she says. "Oh my God.... You're pregnant" Dylan jokes. "Haha very funny. I'm serious" "What is it hun? Guy problems? School? Bullies?" I ask.

"No it's nothing like that" she says. "Well, spit it out" Dally says.

"Mom. I am 100% sure and tried to tell myself I wasn't but I realized I am" she started. "Mom, Dad. I'm bi" she said.

I look at Dally. He looks at me. We both look at Kat.

"Say something please" she said.

"Honey. I couldn't be more proud. I'm happy for you" I said standing up to give her a hug. "Dad?" She asks.

"Umm, pronouns?" He said. Kat hugs him.

"Thanks guys. Also it's still she/her pronouns" she said.

"Oh my God. You're gay" Dylan blurts out. "Bisexual!" Kat said. "I'm just kidding! Chill, you think I'm that person? Hell no" he says. "I'm proud sis" he said, giving her a hug.

"Well, now that that's said. We should do a small celebration! Where do you wanna go? You wanna do anything?" I ask her.

"No, no. This was just perfect. I never thought you guys would accept me" "Hon. We'll love you no matter what. Doesy mean you should get pregnant" Dally says.

"Dallas!" I said. We all had a laugh and continued eating and had a small chat in the living room.
